or is it server inspection right now? Because rev6 says that it isn't and my launcher says it is :S

check ur internet connection, it says that when it can't connect to the servers, sort of a default error

i reinstalled it and now it works

This problem keeps occuring to me too. The first time i had this, i put that stuff into the hosts and restarted, then it worked. And when it happened again, i reinstalled, then it worked. But now i have it again. Sucks cos i don't wanna reinstall every single day. 
Edit: Reinstalled it again yesterday, and it was fixed. Now, today, i still get that damn message. Those hosts file lines won't help anymore.
