I NEVER botted, cheated or anything else, nor did I agree with those things, but the fact that someone bots / cheats or whatever doesn't make me loathe them and forget that there IS MORE TO A PERSON THAN THE FACT THAT HE BOTS / CHEATS OR WHATEVER.

D2A's a memorable person. I, with many others, used to flame D2A cause it was a cool thing to do. But the thing about D2A was that he never got mad when we flamed him and he always laugh it off. I later realized a lot of people, including myself, flamed him cuz we were jealous of his shiny items, wealth, and skills. Or in the case of Azilius, he's mad because D2A 1-shot him in the game so he went emo ever since. Also as some people in this thread have said, he was also a very intelligent and knowdlegeable person... he made the SP table and other formulas that most of us use, and he was such a legendary PVPer that it was said no one was able to kill him. Even tho he got flamed a lot, many people and some moderators on SRF defended D2A sayin that they actually know D2A and that he's a cool person and stuff, so I contacted him trying to be friends with him thinking that he'd probably laugh at me but he didn't . We became friends and I found out he lived like 60 miles from me and he invited me to a party at his place one day and he was a funny, upbeat happy outgoing person and cool to hang around with and we still txt.

Lets stop pretending D2A was anything more than a member of that old school crew that had been SROing since the dawn of SRO time and for some reason thought that made them important. Every topic he and the rest of them went into would eventually just turn into a flamewar where they argued and debated bitter rivalries and shaken alliances and a bunch of other shit most members didn't care about.

I didn't hate the guy but you're setting him up he was some kind of saint and we were all to blind to see him in his full glory.

It's long to explain how but it did. My gameplay is destroyed and that's matter.
If bot wouldn't exist in the first place, lots of bad things won't exist because of it.

You have a post answering this not too far down but wth, if I have to be specific i disapprove of people botting, its unhealthy imo, if you don't wanna play the game, then don't play it...if you wanna spend your electricity and internet to keep your computer on while it plays the game for you, often for months or years till you have a capped char then whatever man that's your choice...

I really hate gold bots bcoz they eat up server slots and make it much harder for normal people to play the game, and they contribute nothing to the game or its community...

I just hate the game. Silkroad is fucking terrible.

Well i can't disagree SRO isn't all that gr8 now with new games coming in every few months, I'm also trying Kitsu saga OBT right now, and its pretty fun

It's not that I immediately think "oh shit botter I hate this guy what an asshole", BUT, my opinion sways in that direction. I had friends that were botters sure, but did I like them that much, not really. It's hard not to dislike them. Hvae you played and hand grinded all the way to 93? I doubt it. I put up with people ruining my game time for years. The worst part was they criticized ME for playing the way the game was meant to be played, and made it an effort to get in my way. Why? I know I'm biased in the sense that I find most people that cheat are assholes, but how can you blame me.

D2A sometimes followed me around kill-stealing me with his sun +9 bow. I couldn't play the game at all. The ****? The only reason bots are so widely accepted is because there are so many people who just haveeee to cheat to play.

And gold buying, the same idiots that buy the gold and introduce that inflation later complain about high prices. What the ****?

Worst part is they have to come to SRF and flaunt their shit saying oh look losers, I'm legit blah blah blah. How much of a life do you have? If I botted I'd go to a botting forum, not pretend to be someone I'm not on some online community.

The community failed. The fact that it is a free to play game, led people to think less about their decision making. Instant gratification pvp games are abundant, ones that do not need a bot to grind for months before being competitive. Although, too many make the same mistake that it becomes almost acceptable, fallacy of the masses (can't possibly be wrong if too many people are doing it..).
