I felt like I should make a few points, so here we go.

About the whole ban on request idea, you need to think of it logically. Cin had what, 13k posts? Clearly he spent a lot of time on this website. Now common sense dictates to me that, over time, people want to put that time to better use. But like everyone knows, changing a habit is dam hard. Sure, some of you may be more disciplined than others. But we are all humans and it's so easy to fall back into set routines. The removal of his posting status is another kick in the add to stop him from spending so much time here.
I did the same thing back when I was posting on my TedTwilliger account. I was spending way too much time here and it, as a result, lead me to stay interested in SRO. I needed to get away from this place in order to cut my ties to that god awful game I loved so much. Did it work? Sure did, I haven't played it in years and now days I post maybe 4-5 times per week. It worked for me so I won't bash his decision.

Also, cut this crap about the forum dying. I've been hear a dam long time now, about 4 and a half years to be exact (April 2006 on Ted, hardly seems like it) and every 3 months someone new is saying this place is dying. "Oh EB is taking away all the cool members" "Don't ban blockfox, he's fun!" "Now that Crumpet's is gone this place is nothing". How about we all stop bitching, whining and complaining every 3 seconds and just get back to posting? Sure, there's a lot of people I dislike on this forum. Most of them have posted multiple times in this thread, too. And sure, there are some crap topics in OTL. But in between all there rubbish, there's a lot of good discussion that goes on.
This place holds no sentimental value to me any more, so if it wasn't worth reading I simply wouldn't visit. Despite the trolling, despite the flaming, despite the stupid threads, there's a lot of good discussion going on. A lot of people here are quite intelligent and have well thought out ideas and opinions on certain issues (EvGa comes to mind). I find it incredibly interesting to read these sorts of comments and really like participating in these threads, even if I'm completely brain-dead in comparison.

If you stumble across a bad thread, just don't bloody read it. Read the first post and click back, is it so goddam hard?

no really, you dont get it. you dont have to click on, nor participate in any thread you deem ridiculous. in fact its your problem that it gets to you like it does. having these "stupid threads" diversifies the forum and leaves it opoen to many different discussions for a wide variety of people. i cant even tell you how many threads i havent clicked on because the subject was stupid. theres countless more i click but didnt comment on. that doesnt mean theres a problem with the forum or the people in it.

I thought every 1 knew he was banned. And yes I think the forums are slowly dieing. I remember coming here over a year ago and it was decent. Now we have ppl Spamming topics and giving away bots in general lol >.> They claims mods are active but that seems to say otherwise. I'll say it again. Use the report button. It's not there for decoration. The amount of posts and threads created is too high; we can't read every single one of them. If you see a thread going downhill because someone starts flaming or something like that, use the report button. Don't make it worse by quoting stuff or flaming.
The staff will view every report and take the required action, if needed.

And yes. Sometimes it takes a while. The staff is here on a voluntary base, and they have other things to do besides monitoring these forums 24/7. I thought people would understand this, but apparently I've been mistaken.

No effort?.. I use it when It's needed.. most of the time when I click it, I get "This post has already been reported" I can't do much from there. Severe posts like the one that was in general for nearly 4 hours giving away a free bot account is what I was initially referring to.

And the post of his I was referring to was one where you said something along the lines of
"I know your trying to help, but you retired awhile ago" or something like that. It had your signature -Ru at the end which pretty much implied it was you. And now that post has been deleted.

First, that post has not been deleted: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=124301
Second, he edited Goseki's super-long post (some mature 18+ thread) cause he still had mod powers as an retired admin (due to the fact he's still in G&T's mod group I suspect but I don't know) with edited by cin, and then RuYi edited that post to remind him he's retired now.
And finally, I did not actually see what cin edited Goseki's post with other than what's there now, but if he decided to grandstand on Goseki's 18+ thread and gave a long speech, then it's not surprising that was edited. (though I highly doubt he did)

No, again, you are right. (And I often retract my response after typing it out completely or don't click on a thread entirely.)

However, it is people like you, as I have previously stated, that are setting a bad example for others. People come to the OTL and see the shenanigans that goes on in such threads and it sets the bar. The norm for SRF is set by it's users. You generate the bad content and it affects what others perceive as acceptable behavior. (Gotta love net neutrality right? No consequences!)

Some still carved hard in my mind:
Itonami, VanDango, MrFudge, Fly, Bakemaster, Megami, mmellu, Fat_Smurf, Vindicator, Agent430, Dildogoblin, Stallowned, casey43, Bastet/Isis and others..
They were the most active, but more then half got banned for obvious reasons, some got banned on request by just saying they bot and 2 or 3 just left...

ksro they had it in the files its all over GD.. and sro wont be the first game to put an ingame bot imagine lvl 120! and imo joy max are greedy and they will want the money for the bots.. so i found that easy to believe
