No, but there should be enough to be at least 1 on most of the time. 3 hours with no mods on is a long time for shit to happen. I sure many ppl remember when there was always a mod on making sure trash wasn't on the forums. I'm not saying the current ones aren't doing a good job, I'm saying they could use help because as you said, they aren't on 24/7.

no cpinney is right, we don't need any more mods currently. most shit happens in OTL and since the community that is active on that subforum has shrunk there really is no need for 10+ mods to keep an eye on it.

i am only speaking for myself but i do that with a lot of threads, i just let them play out and see what happens and only really lock them if its getting ridiculous or far off the original post and reason of the thread.

I prefer SRF for some things, but for personal issues or stuff I need expert advice on, I use Google. If it's strictly opinion I'm looking for, Obviously SRF is where I'll go. Well used to go. I don't make topics that often myself. Seriously though, all the topics about personal hygiene like bumps and itchy armpits is ridiculous. This isn't a Medical thread and I for one don't wanna hear about someones hemorrhoids or pimples. Computer related stuff is fine, if it's an opinion you are looking for and not technical specs..

I don't think you can say that making topics about "omg there's a film about owls", is making the forums die. It's these kind of topics that keep it alive. Maybe some of you don't like them, then just don't read them. Some people like these topics and enjoy posting in it, which keeps the forum alive. Just my silly opinion of course.

I'll say it again. Use the report button. It's not there for decoration. The amount of posts and threads created is too high; we can't read every single one of them. If you see a thread going downhill because someone starts flaming or something like that, use the report button. Don't make it worse by quoting stuff or flaming.
The staff will view every report and take the required action, if needed.

And yes. Sometimes it takes a while. The staff is here on a voluntary base, and they have other things to do besides monitoring these forums 24/7. I thought people would understand this, but apparently I've been mistaken.

Take the first five pages of OTL. Hell, take the first twenty-five. I can assure you that every single one of those topics could have either been Googled or posted in an appropriate forum. If everyone followed your suggestion, this forum would just be what it was meant to be from the start - a place specialized in one singular topic: Silkroad Online. No OTL, no AC, no OG.

Techno/Trance? Take that whole thread to a music forum. Or better yet, a techno/trance forum! How did I not think about that? Desktop wallpapers and customization? Don't even bother posting because that belongs to a desktop wallpaper and customization forum. There's plenty out there to choose from! Clothes? -> Fashion forum! What are you listening to? Music forum! Bleach, Naruto, and One Piece? So many choices. Politics? That's a no brainer. Politics forums of course! wins teh internets you say? We have hundreds of websites cataloging 4chan images. I can go on and on for every post and every page in OTL.

It's never about the topics. Everything have been discussed somewhere in the world wide web. It's all simply about opening a topic, reading about it, and making a post - regardless of how stupid it is about or how profound it is to the human race.

The only novel topics you would find are the ones similar to this - concerns about a specific forum member or staff. And even then, there's surely another forum or two out there who have had topics such as this.
