Spear Full int or Hybrid.

Please, suggest me an option according to my needs.
Ok, so i got a S/S noobie nuker lvl 4x and he keeps dieing even with snow shield.
I am not a fan of surviving for INT characters but i love 'em on how powerful they are.

Will Spear/Ice/Light and a low Fire do the magic?
And how should i distribute my Stats?
I just read a topic from this page that Light isn't needed since ll it gives is speed? but i am going to be a Int base character, so i am confused.
I know they are a lot of Spears guides around but most of them are outdated.

I have a lvl 32 noobie nuker with messed up skills, granted he's a lil hybrid, but my normal grinding style is to surround myself in mobs and nuke the hell out of em,using only 20% snow.

May i suggest going to some lower level mobs? and wear protector if u face too many problems...

Why is light only for speed? that teleport skill is awsome against rouges(and if u have the fortitude against bowers at cap), please lets not forget that light has magic attack buff that gives a percentage increase to your magical damage...
Not to say that ice/fire is better than ice/light, both builds are good and probably do nearly the same damage, as fire has high base damage in its skills while light has its buff.

Spear/ice/light is a good build, u can take 11 fire to be full immune with accessories.
As for stats it depends, i personally don't like em since they have lower def than the s/s nukers, but u could go:
Pure int: wicked nuking power, but very low def
8-9:1 int hybrid, a lil more def for a lil less damage
6-7:1 int hybrid, probably the most balanced in terms of defense and damage
2-5:1 int hybrid, high defense but low damage, u would be using weapon skills more than nukes unless u have a good spear. It would be more advisable to take fire as your main tree and some mix of ice/light if u do this build and want to use nukes, or a godly spear.

NOTE: all mention of "damage" in this post relates to nuke damage and not overall dps.

i had problems with my light/ice nuker in the early stages as well,
but if you can effectivey kill general monsters in less than 3 hits and take at least 3 hits before being in danger, you have found yourself the right monster type.

light only being for speed is the misconception of people below lvl 50-54,
because the 15% increase stage of the mag. attack buff is when the difference becomes really noticable, and a few levels before that, the nuke is upgraded to a 300% multiplier.
parry and dash/port/zip/flash becomes most important at the latest stage of the game when everyone is in an arms race and/or seeks the slightest advantage possible to defeat an opponent

Light hits harder... just go to that topic i made. kinda lazy to look it up now.

For spear though, i think going fire and hybrid would be better. You need the extra hp from hybrid, and honestly I've seen more spear nukers hitting almost as hard as their nukes with spear attacks.

So i think i've decided to go Hybrid Spear.
Any idea on the rate? cause i don't know how to distribute the points really. like... uhm... 1:9? 1 str per 3 levels?
I really want to keep INT higher.

And about the masteries, ill keep Spear/Fire/Light and a low ice.

1:9 int hybrid can be either 1 point of str for 9 points of int or 9 lvls of int followed by 1 lvl of str.

for me, as long as mag balance reach 100% itll be comfortable:) naked 85-87% i guess.
