After a long awaited time… open beta is soon to begin for the new private server gaming experience and even possibly stepping into the league of official servers potential. Zelos formally known as eSRO has been in the making for more than a year on and off, but we feel it is the right time to now expand our horizon, opening up and showing the potential of our emulator so far, there is still some functions to go, but a lot is already there! More so than what you would experience in these meger small scale outdated emulators you have seen.
We currently do not have a site for our project, instead a link to the forums, where you can discuss anything related to Zelos and report issues.
Footage?
Taken a couple of months ago, this gameplay footage just addresses the smooth gameplay seen and monster count applicable to the game. Most footage on youtube of "Zelos" is just bug reports, but I guess can show you content available. Ranges from union, guild, party, exchange, stall, shops, mounts, jobs, pretty much everything! Other than fortress, CTF, and scripted things like quests, which are majorly lacking.
Content disabled currently is european "characters", all areas are accessible and NPCs can be used, as they are same perspective in coding to chinese, just european skills are not "judged" as finished quite yet.
Rates will be reasonably high, so testing is possible and also from playing perspective, what they are now, will not reflect upon release.
Will there be bugs?
Yes is the simple answer. All games have bugs, even the official Silkroad or World of Warcraft, the issue is finding them. We believe we have identified a great deal of the major ones through closed beta. We will create a forum section where YOU users will be able to forward on any bugs, this will help us remove them as soon as possible.
How do I make an account?
Follow the link to our forum, register in which you will be able to view a topic, which will direct you to the register form. Reason I do not pass the direct link to it on here as forum registrations, make it easier for us to track the “interest” torwards the server and we can take appropriate action on how we manage or slow registrations etc.
Are accounts free?
YES. Unlike other meger emulators, which are just projects situated to making profits, our interest is getting the users playing to improve the gameplay overall, by illiminating these bugs, so a private server in the future actually means something in this community.
How do you provide a free service?
Currently our emulator is hosted by a hosting company ViTi Network very kindly which sponser the project, we advise you to visit there site, as they provide great prices on hosting all kinds of servers for PC gaming, such as Call of Duty and many more.

Will this service always be free?
Accounts will always be free yes, just like the Official Silkroad Onlines, but Silk will become accessible and I am sure you will understand this is required to keep the service available, as big servers cost money! ViTi Network is currently not charging us, which is very appreciatable, but we cannot abuse this forever, but we do not wish to contend our users of feeling as if they are being charged to play.
The Gameplay?!
The server is kSRO based, currently at version 1.174, which is reasonably up-to-date. Like I said before most gameplay options are available and some to within great detail, I do not want to disclose how exact, but there is reasonable error checking as well to reduce the amount of exploits and / or bugs.
Glitched Character?
As we are sure this COULD happen from time to time, but is low chance as most issues resulting in this have been identified, if this does happen, as you are sure there are going to be many users accessing this game, due to our staff being small, it will be hard to manage issues like this. So at the moment we advise you to make another character, or make a new account, not start bitching as you need to understand this is an open beta, not an official server, only going through occurances like this will produce bug-free gameplay.
Europeans:
Most of european characters work, but we have this temporary disabled, if a user tries to make a euro character, the request in game will just be ignored, but all aspects of european areas work, npcs etc, as from a programming perspective, they are just clones of anything from the chinese regions with different models.
Rates:
Rates we have not decided for the open beta, they will be reasonably high, so testing can be done just as well as the "playing" aspect. The Rates for open beta, will not reflect what the future release could have.

P.S. As they currently do not have a website Zelos is in need of a designer, there is a competetion about to start in which users submit a front page design to the zelos website, much the same as any online mmorpg homepage, the best one will be picked and used as a designer, gratitudes will be given.
