Season 1 will always be the best. Season 2 was...kinda okay. 3 was just downright crap. 4 was an improvement from 3.
Hoping that 5 will bring back the old theme.

Most serial killers? Do you know other serial killers? Most the ones you hear about in real life seem creepy after the fact, but people around them didn't have a clue. (the ones that have been caught)
So do you think if Dexter was irl and you heard about him on the news, he wouldn't seem creepy? A guy that cuts people up into pieces and throws them into the water or w/e.

No, I mean unlike other killers you'd see portrayed in movies or TV, or ones you read about in the news.
I'm referring of course to the actor's ability to make the character more...sympathetic?

Oh but anyways, I think its more to do with the back story of the character. Dexter was taught to have morals and live by a code. Most serial killers were born out of lack of a parental guide.
