Are you farking retarded?
There were more deaths in Chicago this year (gun-deaths at least) than in Baghdad. For god sakes, our domestic problems > insurgency problems in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Of course they are both terrible, but our country right now is spending billions "keeping our ass safe" when we don't have all that much to worry about. Spending that many billions on bombs is pretty much an insult to the poor, to the people who can't eat, to the people who aren't clothed. We can keep "our ass safe" by not sending our troops to the middle east, by defending ourselves with defensive mechanisms rather than this failing "war on terror" (which isn't even a war, considering wars are between nations).
The whole point of the war on terror is to prevent attacks on the US, and it seems like its working, no? I don't see how spending billions to keep "poor, people who can't eat, people who aren't clothed" safe is an insult to them.
I think the Iraq war was/is unnecessary, but the whole war on terror, not so much.
And wars are between groups, which can be nations.
