Why do STR Hybrids suck!?

If Str characters could not crit, pure ints would just rape the living shit out of pure str in a 1v1 due to alchemy evening out the % HP discrepency between int and str pure builds.

Guess what the str-hybrid concept is?

In garms, I eat pure int nukers for @#$%'ing lunch okay. Warek_PL is lv 65 with around 4500 hp, I 1 hit him with my antidevil book 3 for 4800. I can kill pure ints well up to lv 67 before they get their pants and chest pieces. Lv 70s are hard to kill because of ful 8th deg vs my half and half 7th and 8th deg stuff. It's so simple to see that a capped player can kill a non capped player relatively well and that's the main reason why I lose to higher lvl people, because of their gear.

But Chaud, relax man. No need to get so huffy puffy about this subject, it's a game, and just like any other game, people are entitled to play how they want. Do not trash talk how other people play, focus on how you play your game. Same goes for you Fly. And your calculations don't really work. Damage is calculated via your balances. It's someting like (Str* str reinforce + Weapon DMG)*P balance = total P DMG. If you think about it, a pure str/int player will have 100% Str or Int and about 30% of the opposite. Compare that to 70% for a 1:1 hybrid for both values.

4500 hp and probably shitty phys def. Kill me pls I have 737 phys def., 8.5k hp, I think I could just stand there and tank you when you are lvl 70 fully farmed.

And Criterion, btwn Warek_PL and you, you are 5 lvls higher with full 8th degree. Can you not read properly? We don't have access to the chest, head or pants pieces to get +1200 HP. To my knowledge, pure ints have btwn 6-8k life on avg. Any str based player can own you in 2 crits, even a str hybrid. Grow up you 10 year old kids with no balls. All you do is say they suck, quit the game and the forum. Who the @#$% are you to tell me to do that? I don't think you own the forum. I have a tree. Pure ints have 6k or 7k if they are above avg....
Str hybrid crits = less dmg? Besides, with int hybrids having 8k+, 2 crits wont do a thing unless the wep is sos...

i really dont understand how you can trash talk a build when you havent even played it before?? besides how many fully farmed lvl 70 str hybrids are there??.. exactly .. no one has given this build a chance.... its really boring when all you see is full str fire glaivers running around.. this build is somehting different and can be very good if made right.....

well ive used a pure str and a hybrid str and guess what the HYBRID did more dmg so i dont know wth fly is on and maybe he need to grow up and take a new math class cuz i dont think 4th grade math is cutting it anymore

Saying a str hybrid is better than pure str is like trying to defy physics, it just doesn't work. And there is already a str hybrid bow on our server, good garments, +5 10 crit bow or something, and he can't kill me

I think it’s time I give some input to tell you guys my experience both having a lvl 45 2:1 STR hybrid and a lvl 70 Pure STR build.

Let’s compare a farmed lvl 70 strength hybrid fire glavier with a pure strength
This is a real duel session about 1 month ago

Gears used:

Both characters: Garments 8th degree +5 SoS 64+7 Spear with similar stats (Normally using glavies but sos 64+7 spear has high physical damage)

Hybrid Strength
· LvL 70 2:1 Farmed Mastery Heuskal 69
· 12k Hp – including STR and HP added from alchemy
· Balance 82%+ physical and 62%+ Magical
-Higher damage then pure str (consistant damage)
-Lower hp
-Lower criticals then a Pure STR build.

Pure Strength
· LvL 70 Pure STR Not farmed Heuskal Mastery 63
· 15.5k Hp – including STR and HP added from alchemy
· Balance 106% Physical and 42% Magical
-Lower damage then hybrid strength (consistant damage)
-Higher Hp
-Higher criticals

Duels: 7 out of 7 battles Pure Strength glavier won easily without even giving the Hybrid a chance. Now look at it this way, the hybrid str is farmed and have the same gear while the pure strength is not farmed heuskal only at 63 and was kicking the shit out of the hybrid STR. So tell me how is str hybrid better…2:1 is a joke and a 1:1 built ... I don’t even wanna go there.

Hybrid STR is an undesirable build because
-Lower HP gets 1 shot by pure INTs
-Lower HP can’t tank STR and gets killed anyway
-Lower criticals damage and if you know anything about STR builds you know crit is everything
-Lower physical defense then pure str
-Lower magical defense then pure int
-Hybrid INT will kill you because they have more hp then pure int and can take more hits from you and will probly nuke you to death before you can spit out a high enough crit or multiple crit to kill them.

In the end, Hybrid str 2:1 or 1:1 is a complete joke. People reroll at 4x 5x 6x and those who make it to 70 even farmed are highly disappointed. They can’t kill nukers, they can’t kill str, can’t take on int hybrids. The only people who they can kill are other hybrid str.

Now there is one way for hybrid 2:1 or 1:1 to be really strong is by getting ALL sos prot/armor and sos +7 glavie then go kill pure str with regular non sos items. The only way to own as a hybrid str…and I’m sorry to say this…is by obtaining all SoS pieces. Other then that, becareful when you go out and get wooped by pure str.

And no Im not biased. I myself have had the pain of getting the shit kicked out of my STR hybrid 2:1 lvl 45 – 1 shot by every other build sucks and I hope you str hybrids reroll before its too late.

It’s completely fine if you don’t pvp. For PvE you can have a INT Blader and still feel good at pvp when you kill mobs in the cave at 70.

However, you did mention you like trading. Do you really want to be owned by a thief your level even though it’s just a 1v1 fight while you’re trading and closing on the gate of your destination?

Yeah i do like trading, however only when I am getting 1* popped by 2 or more high lvl thieves (and by high lvls, I mean lvl 70 npc thieves) do I have an issue. I've been taking down lvl 45 and lvl 50 npc thieves since I was lvl 35. Pissed off lots of stupid dumb dumbs who were surprised, because they were judging me by my sword. I guess it pays to wear a sword for nearly 10 lvls.

Hybrid 1:1 bow would suck so much. Crits aren't as high as a 2:1 and the damage won't be enough to do anything really. The best 1:1 would be a spear user probably.

And wow, we are graced by HuyFong's presence. Well maybe athens' server is just weak, but my str hybrid does fine at lv 66. The only trouble I have is with glaivers. I will admit that. Other than that, bladers, nukers and other bowers it relaly depends on first strike, gear, and available skills. I think you would consider my build a 3:2 str hybrid to be specific. I never get 1 hitted by nukers, not even capped nukers with sos weapons. Nor do i die easily against other str builds. Stuns and Kds really get to me though. More so stuns b/c im vulnerable to everybody. I would say a hybrid str glaiver is not the right choice anyways. With str users it's all about the crit, so why use a weapon with a weapon skill set w/o crit additive. The only choice for hybrid str would be a bower. I will defend my build because I feel that I do just fine with it and I do PvP quite a bit. I do as much dmg as capped archers I see, my critical values are only slightly lower. Archers are for support anyways and I'm fine playing that role. Archers are not build for 1 v 1 anyways. They have avg M atk and P atk, no extra def, no extra hp, they are probably one of the most handicapped builds out there. I know you were an archer before, but you switched to being a glaiver. You should know that archers are not suppose to tank for the whole duration of the battle. Think about it in the real world scenario. Archers are in the back, picking off ppl while everybody else is caught up in the melee.

If you pick a build based on crits...why not be pure str where you crit for MORE DMG?

ok, well i notuiced kul had lots of crits, it could have been eq differnece :shock:

+ he has many stuns and all that good stuff. i think that build your character the way YOU want it. because at lvl 70 its all based on the eq.

dont react to this post calling me a nub or somthing but thats what i think tell me if im wrong w/ out being a jackass :banghead:
