Warning for all you Mountain Dew Lovers. Don't drink it if you like your teeth. It has nearly the same effects as Meth. Luckily most of mine are repairable and I still got a great smile, but I just had 5 teeth pulled today =[ And omfg It sucks big time. Although the Vicodin is amazing and I may or may not be high as I type this, but regardless.. take care of your teeth BEFORE you need to be told by a dentist. Doesn't matter if you brush twice daily, if you drink Mountain Dew on a regular basis, you will definitely get some mouth rot. I Brush, always have and I had to get 5 pulled. I also found out that it only take 6 months of regular drinking for it to destroy teeth beyond repair. Some ppl are lucky and got enough fluoride in their water, but others are not.

Anyways the point of my rant is don't take your teeth for granted. Teeth are one of the biggest things ppl judge you for. Lucky for me the damage was mainly molars and my Wisdom teeth have a great chance of replacing the ones pulled today.

Dang. Before i went to college i didnt drink much soda, but now when i eat lunch [at college] i always get mountain dew to drink. I guess its time to stop.

I drink mdew all deh time sir, my teeth are heallthy, white, and straight, naturally I might add. Guessing you never heard of a toothbrush, or floss, or mouthwash? Great invention, try using them once in awhile

lol I was just messin, sometimes people just have teeth that are like that, my cousins who both kept good care of their teeth have crowns and stuff, so it depends on who you are really

Drink it through a straw without letting the liquid touch your teeth and you should be fine. I do this most times I drink fizzy drinks (which is frequently) and only brush my teeth like twice a week, yet my oral health is perfect. But I am the pinnacle of male evolution so that must contribute somewhat.

Atm yes, but I do not yet have my Wisdom teeth in yet. I will only have 1 tooth missing when they come through as they are showing up on xrays that they are coming through soon. You can also see one of them through the hole of one that was pulled. Gross, but interesting at the same time. I'm actually pretty lucky, not many ppl get a 2nd chance. The few other teeth just need scraped or drilled a little bit. By the time you notice the damage, it's probably too late.

All daily.. Sometimes more than twice depending on how gross my teeth feel(seeing as I am a germaphobe). They told me that some people don't get affected at all do to the amount of fluoride they have had. For instance my brother Mdew all the time no issue. My mom Pepsi every single day, perfect teeth. Me Mdew constant for the last year since I can buy my own shit now = fail. I had heard about it while I was drinking mdew, but didn't listen as my teeth were fine for awhile.. but what I didn't notice was my molars started out by getting a kind of white decay that you can't really see unless your looking for it. Which then started to tunnel downwards beyond my tooth into my gum which is why they had to pull em. They didn't HAVE to pull em, but I don't have $800 for just a cheap crown per tooth. I'm sure the high end crowns would be even more.. And as I stated they informed me I have a very good chance of my wisdom teeth replacing the pulled teeth so I'm not worried about it.

If you guys are heavy Mdew Drinkers I just say watch out, it could happen to you without you realizing it. Be sure to use fluoride mouth rinse as well to help.

I drank so much soda and ate alot of candy when I was younger...Had to get like 9 cavaties fixed when i was about 14 or 15. I still drink soda on a regular basis and brush my teeth...but all in all I really need to drop soda period...I can just feel my teeth slowly rotting away lol..

Not a huge fan of soda. I usually drink water/flavored ice tea. Then again, I drink and smoke. I got a crapload of fillings from my dentist the past couple of years as a result lol.

Holy-halitosis how can you possibly do that? My mouth feels smutty if I don't brush after every major meal--I can only imagine what two days of neglect would do.

Couple weeks ago I cut out all pop completely, and coffee as well.

I drink water and replaced coffee with green tea, occasionally juice and milk.

i used to drink alot of gatorade, but now I drink water ( soda at times ) I try to get at least 1 gaon in everyday but its hard when your in class to get more water when your done with a bottle
