I know some lvl 6x and 7x people with that sort of build who totally own. Its absolutely amazing. But really, to be honest, the game seems to depend more on your equips, skills, and how u use them rather than exactly what your build is.

Though my character isnt quite where I want her to be, cause I figured it out a little late, I love her. She is LvL 38 garment, hybrid, spear, almost 1:1 but I am emphasizing more on int lately, cause I love nuking. I use lightning imbue, and pretty much all lightning skills, buffs. I use guard of ice and its nuke, as well and the phys resist buff. I use only 3 weapon skills, cause they do me just fine.

I guess I am just commenting cause though I am lvl 38, I had not seen this sight and I wanted to thank you for the info and ideas. I helps me look a little closer at how I do things.

I would become a hybrid when you feel like you dont care about lvling fast as much as doing some jobs or pvp. I would probably go full int at least til i get the nukes and then hybridize, making it easy to sp farm and maximum nuking power at lvl 30-40. When you spend your sp is up to you, but i would probably keep the large total of sp and plan exactly what skills i need and want and use them for those. Be careful not to waste too much sp on skills you will regret later. That being said, if you have sp farmed a bunch you are probably really bored and i would power lvl so u at least retain interest in the game.

I just wanted to point out that a full int has 93-95% mag. balance without gear, as for my personal stats i have to take off my gear first (I'll edit this post if i have time to do it)

so say a pure int with a balance of 93% (minimum im assuming) no gear but a npc weap (lets say spear) for a approx. dmg of 2000 dmg with a nuke. In comparision to a 85% magbalance hybrid, how much difference in dmg is there?

i am number, from babel and im 6x hybrid sword. my build is fully farmed and so far works great on blades/glavies.



for my build, i'd recomend farming sp at the stronghold because hey, lvling with a 0 gap is more fun.


i did a full int build from lvl 1-30 adding 3 int every time i lvled.

when i lvl to 31 i started doing a 2:1 build. 2 int and 1 str per lvl.

and keeping with that up until where i am today and for the rest of the time i am lvling.

-IT REALLY helps to adding +int and +str to every item you got on you. it will make the build so much nicer.

currently i am level 60 with,

mag balance: 100% (and going up)
phy balance: 65% (almost 0 str added onto any of my clothing, i am currently getting some alchemy items and tablets to start adding. so this will go up a good 10% soon enough)


i have been very successful in pvp with this build.

i am lvling 70/70/70/90

so i will level ice, fire, sword and lightning all too lvl 70 and only continue fire after that.

well SG, kudos to ur nice guide ... it juz inspired me to become a hyrid heavily int ... well i gt few questions to ask u ... since u are gd at it .. i read ur guides at lvl 47 b4 that i was all the way full int, i did farm a little at lvl 16 40k of sp after that i leave some gaps here and there till 47 i start to 2:1 int:str .. then today i lvled and i put 1:2 , well can i ask am i too late to go hyrid ? or shall i juz put my stats points into int.

As u can see i farmed tons... and am still way behind on sp.. currently farming at power earth ghosts with 5 level diff.

First of all lets just say this during a pvp with a pure str glaiver same level same farm equal items.
u will die, peirod. and keep dying and dying till u wanna cry out loud mama why did i choose a hybird?... . this is becuse of one thing. ur hp will be way tooo low to withstand a sst followed by a spin... maybe cause i pvp with my guild mate who is holding a sos +7 but anyway.... u will still die.
TILL u hit level 60. endure till then.
VS galiver pure str
thats when u notice something NICE. u an't dying that fast no more cause they take more than one cri stun and spin to kill u. Thats when u find that ur combos can actually send em runing for vigours and kill em once hey panic.
VS a blader. full str
If they dun kd u 3 times in a row. u will not die. unless they kd u 2 times and cri on all stabs downs... if they dun get a block in ur combos.. GG u can win them.
VS 65 full int spear
basically its sort of a luck issuie here.
he nukes, u nuke back same time.. if he dun kill u in one shot and trys to follow up with second nuke(noob!) or he shouts u. u win when u finsih with ghost spear. (3.7k on nuke 1.8 on spin)full ints normally without xtremly pimped gears have 4.8 k hp.
Vs 64 full int sword (xtreme luck factor)
he nukes u, u surivie u nuke him he suriveis..
luck factor on whether he kd u and stabs cri or if u can follow up by spear spin, sst with no blocks.

Until u hit level 60 its no go for pvp.(unless u are a sword./shield hybird)
thats a major downside to a int spear hybird.However in wars u are a asset all the time.

The good side?
u level faster 80% of the time.
ur nukes and spear skill 2 hits any orange mob 95 % of the time. (im doing power earth ghost(64 mob i think) and i 2 hit them taking no damage.) = money saved from hp pots

ur higher hp means u dun die when tanking more than 3 mobs unlike ints.
=lesser fustration.

u can go to higher level mobs with impunity 3 levels prefably.

gaints dun scare u...duh.

My build in the long future when i am fully farmed level 70.
90 light 80 fire 70 hekusol 60 ice.

So trust me on this hybirds are FUN to play. u may not be a damage whore nor a freaking armoured tank but u can own. Think ur self as a light tank..

Hybirds are PVE crazy.. they take mobs like no business and can surive the gangbangs dealt to them.

Play smart in pvps try ur combos frequently, work around them prefrably with ur guildmates so u dun smash ur fist in ur screen after dying for the )*&$#)*#million time.

if u guys wan i can post my equip up to let u guys have a looksee. Any querys feel free to post. and btw this is my first post. so i sincerly apologize if my language suks or if i offended anyone at all.

P.s i became a hybird after reading SG's post when i first started out. tks sg for being a influence on me.

im currently farming, and plan to have 100k sp by the end of this month. i was planning on doing a pure STR blader, but now im thinking of going hybrid int sword and shield. from lvls 1-20 all pts were put into STR.

should i just stick with my original plan and go STR blade? im not trying to be the best at pvp, but i dont want to get my ass kicked all over either.

few questions
1: is it too late to go hybrid int, since lvls 1-20 all pts were put into STR?

2. is a hybrid sword and shield a good choice in YOUR OPINION?

3. since levels 1-20 all points were put into STR, at what levels do you think my phy/mag balance will get better? i hear that it sux leveling for bladers because they are weak, i dont want it to be worse cause of my weak phy/mag balaces.

4. how much sp do u think is needed for this type of build? is 100k farming at 16 enough?

He has 149 str and 94 int (86% phys 50% magic) and his main mastery is ice. I really dont have much info on his skills.
So anyway what should he do now? I dont have the heart to tell him to start over. (my guild mates do though) Should he put all points into str, get a glaive and buy +str protector gear? Or is there someting better for him to do?

if it were me, i'd put all my points in str from that point on. if he's using a spear, he should switch to glaive, unless the spear has a ludicrous crit or is SoS or something. he's gonna wanna pump str until his phys balance swings back up to the 90%-100% range.

Alright... I did some research as I'm currently deciding on going heavy int hybrid as I have always favored the spear over the sword, and thus, some more hp, to take place of the defense offered by the shield, I felt, was needed. For these calculations I used a fairly old circulating hp/mp calculator that I've been working on tweaking myself. The results are beyond accurate as I tried the calculator for various of my friends builds and for several korean lvl 90 builds.

Anywoot, here's some of the pretty numbers I got.

*all stats taken NAKED, so no influence from alchemy*

LVL 70 PURE INT [ie. now]
These stats are true for ANY pure int at lvl 70... Check for yourself if you want... strip completely naked and compare. If you are off, you probably pumped a str once in your life.

Int: 296
Phy Bal: 52%
Mag Bal: 96%
HP: 3489
HP w/ Heuksai passive lvl 6: 4567
Int needed to achieve 100%: 12 int

LVL 80 PURE INT [ie. planned future]
Str: 99

Int needed to achieve 100%: 12 int

Alright, those were the stats for the pure int. Remember that these DO NOT take into consideration what you can do with alchemy. At the 70 and 80 caps, you can add a total of 55 str [not counting shield] and 1200 hp with alchemy. At the 90 cap, you can add a total of 66 str and 1800 hp. This allows for a max hp at the 70 cap of 7924 hp, at the 80 cap 9638 hp, and at the 90 cap 13074 hp.

The reason I posted here is because as great as these high hp number seem to sound... its nowhere close to what pure str will have at those caps, and their crits will still hurt. And, as I initially mentioned, I love the spear and its skills, but yet wish to maintain my nuking abilities, so, I decided to do the same calculations for a lvl 80 and lvl 90 heavy int with 30 str added from the 70 cap to 80 cap.

Remember that these also don't take into consideration what you can do with alchemy. This allows for a max hp at the 80 cap of 11072 hp and at the 90 cap 14822 hp.

So... wtf should one do? Is the loss of balance really worth the hp? It takes you an additional 30 int to correct the balance loss you have, which isn't too hard being able to add a total off 55 int at the 80 cap and 66 int at the 90 cap. In reality, you only can probably ever get a balance of 104% at the 80 cap [assuming PERFECT 5 int on everything] and a balance of 108% at the 90 cap [assuming perfect 6 int on everything]

Comparing the hp differences, it doesn't seem all that significant at the 90 cap, and yet, from my ksro friends, I hear that the 90% hybrid spears are some of the best out there in pvp; only having trouble with pure str bows.

Does anyone else wanna shed some light on this? Look at the numbers, compare them, play around with em... What makes the 90% int hybrid so deadly at the 90 cap?
