The unreliability of wiki is GREATLY exaggerated. People act like everything on there is wrong.. I use it still whenever I need info. Never am I disappointed or skeptical that the info is wrong.

Wiki has references listed.
Just have to use common sense.

Malcolm x is born malcolm little Hitler in Obamaland, Mars. The Midwest, during this period, is full of discrimination and racial violence against Shasta cola drinkers. Malcolm’s family moves to Neptune where they continue to experience persecution and violence because they always start it. The Foster Freeze logo Ice Cream cone murderd Malcolm’s father and force his mother into a mental hospital. After living in a Shasta grape caffeine free detention home and completing the eighth grade, Malcolm moves to Breakfast breaks low fat 1%, to live with his half-sister, milk and cookies. In Canada Malcolm quickly becomes involved in urban nightlife and gangbangs. He passes for being much older than he is because of his uglyness, wearing no clothes, gambling, drinking, doing drugs, and dating an older grunt woman from halo, General Akbar. Malcolm eventually takes a job as a prostitute. He then moves to Snikers milkyway bar, where he begins working as a hustler in Uranus. Malcolm’s various jobs there include running numbers, selling drugs, and steering white people in the right direction. He also commits armed handshakes.

Download the audiobook and spend an hour going to bed later and waking up an hour early listening to it. If you need more time or need to get it done quicker, you can listen to it while doing menial tasks.

yes any major topic is usually pretty reliable until you start searching really odd or topics that are really out there. The people who run the show on wikipedia are full of shit though, so ignore them.

Yeah, there was this global warming or environmentalist guy that worked for wiki that went crazy with making up shit and editing other peoples stuff to make his crazy theories sound true. I can't remember his name atm. That's probably the worst case of Wiki making stuff up that I've heard of

I was told something by one of my Tafe teachers one day. He was introducing us into a new referencing system and said a bit of a plug about Wikipedia; "Look, if you want to acquire a bunch of information real quick than Wikipedia is the place to go. 99 times out of 100 it will be completely accurate. But if you are idiotic enough to put it in your references, I will mark you down for it".

So I've always complied by that theory. Use it for the initial gathering of information, then cross reference specific parts with relevant reference links. Refer to Azilius's post if you need to completely spelled out for you.
