omg darth vadar beating glados thats not right vadar isnt even a video game bad guy he is a movie bad guy, same with the joker.

Kane from command and conquor im sorry is one of the best bad guys in video game history and he is losing to andrew ryan which ok isnt that bad but stil someone as long running as kane should come 2nd or 3rd at the very least

The problem with these kind of polls are that they never define the criteria of judgment? What exactly deems someone as the greatest villain? Are they the greatest because the inflicted the greatest amount of damage to the largest amount of resources? Are they the greatest because their plans and actions were the most evil thing conceivable? Are they the greatest villain because it took such a large amount of resources to stop their plans? With no set criteria for voting, how is anyone meant to make a decision?

But no, no, I'm looking at this all wrong. People will pick out their favorite video game, remember the main villain and as such, vote for him. How silly of me to think about it logically!

if the movie didnt exist would either of them, they are movie bad guys jeez vadar is in way more games and the joker i know for a fact he goes back a long way in video games but the crucial point is its they came from movies and are knocking out good game villians

Those were just examples. I know they're in earlier games, I remember playing some kind of batman and star wars game back on snes. Point is, the poll says Video Game Villains. Doesn't say anything about excluding Villains brought over from comics/movies.
