Btw, first part is hardstyle, and from 2 minutes on it's happy hardcore/UK hardcore pretty much. (which I still listen to as much as trance).

This. <3 UK Hardcore/happy hardcore. I love how upbeat and intense it is. A nice transition from mellow, melodic trance. I love hearing like... Above and Beyond followed by Hixxy followed by Darren Styles followed by Cosmic Gate. Something in that sense. It's amazing.

Di.fm's happy hardcore channel has gone downhill though over a course of like 3/4 years. It's a dying scene Only a couple hundred listeners. The liveshows don't spike it up a lot and neither does the quality of their music..

Ugh, I don't know. I like trance. Enough actually to listen to it over my favorite band (DMB), but I draw the line at styles that hurt my ears. Above and Beyond's podcast is the only one I listen to. I can trust that they'll never get into hardcore shit that makes my ears bleed.

Btw curve, they kind of suck. The happy hardcore one (called Hardcore) is OKish mostly but it's dying and the quality of their music has just degraded over the years.
Edit: There's als one called Gabber, which is actual hardcore. Stuff that you probably wouldn't like (few exceptions, can count those on 1 hand tho).

Hmm. I think Mat Zo is definitely more popular than we think. Every week he's got a tune in ASOT, TATW, etc. But yeah his music definitely from the highest shelf.

I personally think Gareth Emery is underrated.

I don't really need to say anything. He played early in the afternoon just before it started raining a little. And his stage wasn't very busy as you can see (it was still stretched quite wide tho) It was one of my favorite parts of the whole event. It was just such a nice atmosphere. Not too crazy, music is quite calm as well, just chilling, saving energy for the better DJs at night (if you want to see what i mean, go here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FxUP_aHU ... re=related and go to 1:50 and wait ). And then at 4:00 the chorus kicks in , smoke comes out, people yell and whistle all over the place. JIAASFJIAJIAS~!

Jantje in particular cuz he's a dutch hardstylecow It's a track roughly 2 years old, and the buildup i thought was rather boring and repetitive. The chorus however, is really awesome. It's not reversed like alot of the tracks are from 2 years ago, but the chorus is JUST melodic, and it sounds mostly like water drops falling on different tones. Not actual water drops, but very similar on the way the tone changes. The actual sound I'd describe as "dling!" with a tad bit of a high tone to it which goes up and down. It might be from dutch origin, but I've checked most dutch hardstyle djs and can't find it.
