Full Int Spear Skills & Mastery

I used to have a hybrid spear, but ive decided to make a full int spear on a new server.

i havent played in a long time, recently started playing again, and i want to kno wat i should lvl my masteries to.

im currently at 43 huek/fire/light with 20 ice

was planning on going pretty high with huek/fire and leaving light around 70 or 80 or there abouts(this is because i have heard light after this area isnt worth the mastery lvls) and ice at 20, just to give u all a very very rough idea.

note idk if ice should b lvled up higher becuse i feel that more than 20% ice shield will leave me mp'less even with pots and ill b a sitting duck, unless u can somehow convince me

so far this pwns in both pve and pvp, im lvl 52 with a 9 gap farming.

basically i wanna kick @$$ in pvp

assume i have the best gear i can get, wat are ur ideas on mastery lvls? (as in how high on each one)

Uhmm, I'm sorry for ruining your plans; it's a must to have at least 80 ice on a pure int spear, normally people have it maxed. 20 ice may seem good at low levels but when you reach 8d+ you will need a full sos prot set if you want to stay alive. At 9d you will need full som, 10d full sun, 11d no chance.
I have a 95 nuker myself, on 9d I had 1 sun 2 som 2 sos protector pieces with +5/100% blues along with prem+/devil spirit. I was 82 and my opponent was a 85 warrior with a bad set/silver prem and a 85+5 2h. With lvl 70something ice I died everytime when one of the daredevil hits was a crit, though I didn't have the heuk passive but ~1k hp wouldn't have saved me anyways.

@spiritual, i see, then if ice should be around 80'ish, wat would u put the rest at?(huek/fire/light)


Edit: i wanna go 110 with fire and huek, so it would leave me with 110 to mess around with on ice/light, i saw wat it would be if i did 110 fire/huek and 55 light/ice, the 55 ice/light would give me the 30%+ snow, and 12%+ mag increase...i could then go either more ice or light, thoughts?

In my opinion as pure INT it is better if you max. 3 masteries than max. 2 and distribute the remains between two masteries. I would distribute only if went hybrid which you do not plan to do. I am sure XMoshe will notice this topic and share some experience about his own Fire/Cold/Heuksal nuker.

one for pvp and the other for pve right? i just always thought the % from light, the piercing series, was important in pvp since it increased ur atk

this + nukers count on their snow.. if they are with out snow they are a 1 hit

Kinda, it just give a range of how hard the opponent will hit you. If you increase the %, the lower they will hit, on average. But Fire gives direct magical defense. Thats the difference to the best of my knowledge.

haha yeah, thats next to impossible. Id take the increased mag defense any day over parry.

You sure it's that hard? I'm looking at my stats:
Attk rating = 515
Parry = 524

Most of my parry around 50%, but my attk rating is only that high since i have the blue max and white is 80%. If you had all parry 61% and the opponent has attk rating 41% (which most ppl leave it at unless they're hardcore, in which case they'd have prem+ and devil and attk/def scrolls), I'd think with light you could easily get over 60 parry higher.

weapon had 41% att rating, 60%(100%) blue, suit had a total of 10% increase
parry was between 22% and 61%, each with fb parry and with suit increase of 5%

at 100 light gives you an additional 72 parry,
fire gives you an extra 277 mag. defence

if you really work hard on having an incredible parry on your suit, you might have an advantage over fire's mag. defence.
it'd have to be tested as well

but then, look at euros.
they seem to be doing well enough without parry and attackratio (daggers get more att. rating but still)

since your gonna be full int spear not s/s u don't have the additional defense of the shield so i suggest either 100heuskal/fire/cold or 100heuskal/light/cold since gold gives u perfect bonus defenses.
