Laptop battery

Post by Blackchocob0 »

I keep my laptop plugged into the charger ALWAYS. 100% of the time.
I've heard that if you do this, you lessen the overall life of your battery. It doesn't make much sense, but you never know.

Is it true?
Peace.

I'm not sure, but I've heard that if you make the battery completely empty, and then recharge it, it'll get stronger.

Same here, ive only heard that If you discharge it completely and let if fully charge once in a while is good, also that if you let it discharge a lil, and then recharge it like that constantly it would make it weaker...

I don't use my battery much anyway.
Wire FTW, it tends to shut down without the wire at critical times.

yes it is true, matter a fact it should be on a warning sticker somewhere on ur laptop or battery, if u charge it constantly or charge it after u have only used half the battery life it is bad for the battery, you should let it drain completly before charging, i have learned this lesson the hard way with my cell phone, i went threw 5 batterys in 3 months.

Change the power saving options, whoever made the laptop probably included some software to do it, if not there is some microsoft software to do it in the control panel.

Depending on the laptop battery you shouldn't experience any problems. It's most likely a Li-Ion battery which are made to be recharged.
