Fastest Leveler - Int Bow or Int Spear?

As the topic states, which build u guys reckon levels fastest? Hope someone who's played both can answer...

depends on a few things really...
if they are farmed or not
which weapon trees they have
where you choose to grind
party or solo
pickup pet or no pickup pet

i've had bow light/ice and fire/ice heuksal

but i've experienced this:
if you can farm and get a pickup pet: definitely bow
with 4 key attacks(mindbow lure, explosion arrow, strong bow, nuke)for highest possible damage, Aoe and the range of the weapon you easily sweep fields of mobs clean, the bunny has the hardest job: to try and collect at least half of what the monsters drop.

As an int bower it is easiest to seek mediumspawn fields of possibly slow mobs about your lvl or 1-6 lvls lower ( if you want to gather tons of drops and money and kill alot).

As a Spear user it's easier to fight monsters your lvl and/or higher since nukes have good enough damage to potentially hit them. And you have to run around alot more than a bower does
so instead of easy kills for less exp and more running,
harder ones for more exp and less running are better

even though this normally means less kills and more deaths.

well this is mainly for a p-server with better rates, therefore sp and loot is not a main problem. i'll most likely only pick up item drops and some elixirs on occasions so i wont really need a pet.

since im not going hardcore ie. no Solo PvP at all, im focused more on PvE and guildwars/trades and boss hunts therefore i'll be pumping max Fire/Light - just need to decide if Bow or Spear does better for my goal. ie. to grind faster

so i wont be learning Ice, at all =O

Bow at lvl's under 32, at 32 switch to spear when you get your nukes.

it would be wise to get at least the 20% snow

you will not need much of it for general/champs but pt/giants and stronger will make your life hard

Farm first, and you wont have a problem with leveling up spear after lvl 32. Additionally, you can easily get rid of 32 levels of Bow, maybe less if you decided you didnt need to be FFed at 32 to kill your mobs.

Int Bow's regular hits are almost as strong as a nuke and faster. With the range Bow has, you'll be able to kill everything before spear has a chance to get close enough to start casting.

You will need a stronger ice though with bow unless you plan on only grinding on weak-shit mobs that are like 5-10 lvls lower than you. Fire won't be that useful for you if you're an int bower. I'd say max light,bow,ice using Ice imbue. Easy kills with mobs barely touching you.

Pvp-wise, fire-ice-spear is prob stronger, although the int bower can be cheap and just spam kb

I'll disagree with you by directing you to the OP. Clearly says no solo 1v1 pvp, group pvp at best, mostly pve. Hence, they would want bow. Fire Ice Light = decent solo defense if you get stuck in a 1v1, but for mostly group pvp and grinding, more range + kb = win.

You ever tried pvping 2+ 100+ bowers at once? Shit's annoying as hell. Great for stopping the full nova buffed ppl while ur friends pick off the buffers and small fries. Than everyone focuses on the main target.

do int bows ever use nukes? if not, then i might abandon fire altogether...the only reason i want fire is to hit harder when combined with light and for the nukes

i dont have problems vs mobs around my level though since alchemy fixes that issue.

nukes in areas where you are opposed by more than 1 target at almost all times
example, my old char


edit: your fire will hit harder, but the bow attacks will have a better damage/s because of their range and the fact that they are quicker than nukes.

and haha no ive never actually done that. My highest lvl char is a blade. Still tho, shouldnt he definitely keep fire? Seems like that would give epic imbue (mag based, too) damage.

Fire buffs can be matched by cleric. Ice's snow can't be matched by cleric, and light's mag dmg inc would help him hit harder as an int bower.

Already proven light hits higher than fire.

hm spear+only light speed+imbue+nuke+lion shout+mag buff has always been fastest lvler for chinese chars...

main reason is nuke+shout can kill mobs your lvl holding good spear...
lvls using a 0-2 gap without need to sp farm, no need for other skills and it does fine in pve... the lack of def isnt a problem, you aren't fighting people... if mobs arent 1 hit or hit too hard switch mobs

if you got sp then bow nuker would be fastest, longer range, faster attack, bow skills hit as much as nukes + crits

for group pve, a bow nuker is at disadvantage because of lack of fast attacks (aside from arrow combo) and lower hp... in pvp of any kind, you dont want to stand around for too long and bow/nukes cant be shot off without standing around

tried this build, was forced to skill cold as well for snow because even giants 4 lvls below me were a problem and i wasn't inclined to use armor -.-

the light/ice nuker using s/s
deals less damage and uses slightly more sp but dies much less
even with garms on

for group pve, a bow nuker is at disadvantage because of lack of fast attacks (aside from arrow combo) and lower hp... in pvp of any kind, you dont want to stand around for too long and bow/nukes cant be shot off without standing around

in contrast to the mostly 2 hit heuksal attacks, bow has burst damage with the crit enhance and high multipliers. Arrow combo is for bridging the damage gap to finish off something or selfdefence.
group fighting is not really a problem with ice imbue and snow, it can disable opponents in critical situations and that is normally enough for a good party.
You just have to know when to use snow and/or combos.

Ice (weakest imbue) vs Fire (strongest imbue) isn't that big of a diff. I'd say just use ice imbue for pve and pvp since not everyone is ice immune. KB + ice = pwnage.

Indeed, most people on forums discredit Ice bc they think everyone is immune, buuuuut ive found that alot actually arent.

Several hours.... >_< I took a LOT more screenshots than the ones shown, I just kept noting which one was max and min and waited until the value appeared several time. Than I'd go through all the screenshots to make sure they were the max and min. Usually i'll have 3-5 copies of the same value screenshot, than I'd just pick one randomly and delete the rest to make more space for the next test.

That would mean it would have to be a chn char with fire. Euros rely on holy spell thinking it's godly, but many don't realize holy spell fully blocks debuffs, but not imbue effect.

From personal experience, there's about 15% of the chn population not immune, and about 50% euro that's not fully immune.

With all 10d and lower items destroyed during the Great Adv Elixir Craze, it's usually only about 50% of the 90+ players immune and 75% of the 101+. When you run into someone that's not ice immune, they're farked. Even if they're stronger. If you can hit fast enough, they really can't get much of an attack launced.
