We don't need to, but we want to. Because it's fun. It does take some skill if the team your going against isn't complete retards. I play with a party all the time cause it makes it more fun/funny to play. Instead of raging at the randoms on my team that go drastically negative and cost us the match. Seriously though, we made some dude go 1-64 In scrap. Why would I risk playing with ppl like that.. Every time We have just 1 or 2 randoms on our team, they don't understand where the button to either aim, or fire is at....

Your right, I suppose I'll give them a better chance of killing me instead of me killing them. How could I have been so selfish. Like I've said It takes skill to spawn trap, and even get out of one. Same with simply winning a match. I don't spawn trap all the time. I usually only do it on Highrise when defending. Or if the enemy is attempting to spawn trap us.

You wait outside their spawn area and shoot them as they friggen spawn. That whole 'they have a chance to kill you' is bullshit. On highrise there is only 1 spawn that you can't see from outside and it's in the back room. That being said, you can EASILY wait in the same spot and kill them as they look around the corner. Maybe they can run and noobtube you but that is much more luck than skill.

I actually find this really funny. People complain about a player controlling a "corner of the map", yet killing people right where they spawn is unacceptable. Sorry, maybe I am missing something. Is it how you abuse shotty spawn systems or the hypocritical comments floating around here? Didn't someone say they prefer moving combat to cheap tactics?

And if spawn trapping doesn't take skill.. how come so many people fail at it?.. If your killing people at their spawn.. that isn't a trap. It's when you lock it down so no one can leave period. It is a cheap tactic, but everything in Mw2 is considered noob anymore. If people don't want trapped, they can learn to .. hmm idk.. lol got an Amazing Spawn Trap in Favela. Watching em spawn ftw. Got me a Multi-kill as they all spawned. But then My other teammate decided to reload his LMG before it was even empty.. and they happened to spawn by him and then broke the trap..
BUT we got it going again =] And then they all left.. I got my pred/harrier/pavelow just from that one instance.

I'm with black on this one, why would you make it easier for the other team to kill you? The game is about map control and that is what a spawntrap is basically. If someone is too retarded to run out every single time while they are being spawntrapped they deserve it, just hang back to avoid more deaths or just leave the match. (ofcourse this only works for highrise and maybe a few others)

Spawn trapping takes skill, map knowledge, knowing how the enemy plays, being able to predict their next moves, all that.

Spawn camping, or sitting in a corner around their spawn does not take skill.

I think some of the better players can avoid a spawn trap through whatever means. Finding the flaw in the enemy's set up and exploiting it. Of course, if the enemy is also good themselves, they'll leave little room for error.

It's a chess game of sorts.

Exactly how I go. Depends on how I feel, I noobtube, snipe (99% of the time), if I'm bored, I use marathon/lightweight. A lot of the time, if I'm going for a nuke, and I know I won't get it, I just muck around with a different class that I wouldn't usually use.

If you don't wanna get spawntrapped/don't like spawntrapping, play search.

Moshe, a lot of people crouch when they no-scope because it seems to make it more accurate. If you look up Zerkaa's G shot on Youtube, you'll see him doing it, and he seems to hit all his no scopes lol. I don't see people doing it when they quickscope - Maybe to avoid oncoming bullets coz they missed their first shot lol? Idk haha.

Watched my mate play a game yesterday, and he was on Underpass (in the building next to the spawn when you're attacking, under the bridge, next to the flight of stairs) and he sortta quickscoped some guy, and the glass was half shattered, and he no scoped to break it, and got a headshot lol. We had no idea where the guy was. Shame it wasn't last kill.

Exactly! They did it to us the previous round so we did it back harder. It was hilarious. And as you so generously pointed that is exactly what I said, I do it back if it happens to me. Get in my spawn, I get in yours with a tac and make you regret it. "Don't Get Mad, Get Even"
And if you can't get even, then it just means they are better than you.

I see them doing it after kills too and also when they're in the middle of the road so to say. Most quickscopers do it (optic/m40a3 and the non clan snipers (moodieswede/smallbeans) never saw tejb doing it though, not that I remember atleast).

Well you didn't mention anything about them spawn trapping you, and I was also pointing out your contradictions.. But given your response and further 'get even' logic..I think we're done here.

I'll avoid spawn camping and spawn trapping (same shit lawls) because I like a challenge and I don't like ruining games =\

Where was the contradiction? I spawn trapped em in Favela. And if you even read my post then logic would dictate you should assume I was getting killed at my spawn for me to trap on any map other than Highrise. All it takes though, is one person to kill me at my spawn to trigger my spawn killing habbits. And also Note that Spawn Camping/Trapping are not the same. Spawn camp as curve pointed out is sitting in a corner waiting for them to leave their spawn and kill em. Spawn trapping is preventing them from leaving their general spawn area. Hence "Trap".
And yes it does ruin games a lot of the time, which is why I absolutely hate when people do it to me. Same with Noob tubes etc. If someone is using a cheap class or tactic, I just do it back rather than complain.

First off..you said spawn trap, but you watch them spawn? So much for a general area. You had no mention of them spawn trapping you, only you doing it to them. You mentioned people having a chance to pick out a flaw in your 'trapping' so they can continue to play instead of spawn->die. BUT that clearly isn't possible if you are watching them spawn and killing them as they do.

I also pointed out that spawn trapping in highrise is more or less impossible to get out of because the "area" you spawn in is wide open to the rest of the map, except for one spot in the back. BUT that still leaves you no means to kill the other team as the second you push your head around a corner it would be shot.

And if you even read my post then logic would dictate you should assume I was getting killed at my spawn for me to trap on any map other than Highrise. All it takes though, is one person to kill me at my spawn to trigger my spawn killing habbits.

Logic would dictate that you posted the "Spawn trapping" favela post first. THEN you stated you "only do it when it's being done blah blah". I read posts in chronological order.. Not only that, but one person killing you at your spawn could EASILY be a fluke. You are basically using anything as a scapegoat to do the tactic.

I simply didn't post that fact cause it doesn't matter why I did it on a diff map? I'm not limited to ONLY spawn trapping on highrise because I said that's the only one I do. If I find myself trapping on another map then whooptie do. I don't really try on other maps, cause Highrise is the only one I find it really fun other than the spawn watch in Favela. If I was spawn trapping on a diff map, then I prolly wasn't the one that instigated it, my team would be. Highrise is one of the best spawn trap maps and I'm sure a lot of people would agree. If you saw people pouring out of their spawn, would you kill them? Or let them get the drop o you and kill you out of generosity ? Why would I ever let the enemy survive long enough to complete the objective?

And also, I said that with me watching them spawn in favela, they still got out of it.. You realize how long LMG's take to reload? My friend and I were the only two, once he needed to reload, he hid and they spawned near him no longer near me and I got a tube shoved up my ass. So yes it is possible to break it still. And when it happened to me, still got out of it.

Yes it is lol. I love using Lightweight Marathon with Rangers on there though. I have Fall Camo for my WA and Barret only cause I haven't used Intervention/M21 much this prestige. I might get Intervention next. I don't like the way it looks as much as blue tiger, but it's fun to show off.
