There;s an english source.
I saw it on a dutch news source myself ^^

Those predictions are almost funny btw ;P
Sounds like they were made by a 7 year old with a big imagination who watched a science fiction movie ^^

lol, fox news

That's almost as funny as North Korea pretending to be a threat.

N. Korea is a threat as any other country, as they obviously can take lives, and thats enough to be one.

Neither could they -_-. Their missiles are inadequate, and have extremely low explosive power. Even if they had one that worked, our anti-missile equipment would destroy it in minutes, and all of their nuclear factories/plants or whatever would be air raided.
Also, fox news. LOL

our anti-missile equipment hasn't had combat testing yet, so who knows if it would actually work like its supposed to.

chances are that nuke would blow up in seoul, possibly killing millions, and then scrambles jets to bomb north korea with in the hour of the bomb blowing up.

Dude. NK's missiles barely launched 100 feet in the air. We have constant espionage + monitoring. If there was a serious threat to SK, our big ally, their nuclear program would be pretty much destroyed publicly.

Maybe NK should use water heaters?

X-Lax, Our ABM systems have had plenty of combat... They didn't come out with the technology last week.

Don't worry about your ABM guys. I'm more worried about the USS George Washington. Since this happened before. hold on.

The Royal Netherlands Navy, with its small force of extremely quiet diesel submarines, has made the US Navy eat the proverbial slice of humble pie on more than one occasion. In 1989, naval analyst Norman Polmar wrote in Naval Forces that during NATO’s exercise Northern Star, “…the Dutch submarine “Zwaardvis” was the only orange (enemy) submarine to successfully stalk and sink a blue (allied) aircraft carrier…” The carrier in question might have been the USS America, as it was a participant in this exercise. Ten years later there
were reports that the Dutch submarine Walrus had been even more successful in the exercise JTFEX/TMDI99. “During this exercise the Walrus penetrates the US screen and ‘sinks’ many
ships, including the U.S. aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt CVN-71. The submarine launches two attacks and manages to sneak away. To celebrate the sinking the crew designed a special T-shirt.” Fittingly, the T-shirt depicted the USS Theodore Roosevelt impaled on the tusks of a walrus. It was also reported that the Walrus sank many of the Roosevelt’s escorts, including the nuclear submarine USS Boise, a cruiser, several destroyers and frigates, plus the command ship USS Mount Whitney. The Walrus herself survived the exercise with no damage. Talented and wily enemies, of course, usually do not play by the rules, and they do not stick to a script.

Can't park diesel subs in the ocean for as long as nuclear subs, though.

No, i mean actual combat, not field testing in controlled environments.

our anti-missile equipment hasn't had real combat testing yet, so who knows if it would actually work like its supposed to. it's unproven technology, not to mention we may not be there in time.

they went further than 100 feet. they have missiles that can hit seoul, possibly japan.

about the submarines, while submarines that are diesel got past our defenses, you have to remember how advanced north korea is, theirs may not be as quiet.

Just because Fox News is a pretty dubious source, why does that make you think that no one in the USA thinks for themselfs?
One can simply watch a Fox News video and read into what he believes to be true / bullshit.

The only reason i posted a Fox News video anyhow is because no other english news sources had this story up, and a dutch source would be little good to most of the people in here.

2028 – Creating a new energy source (probably a controlled thermonuclear reaction). Hunger is gradually being overcome. Launched a manned spacecraft to Venus.

lol @ this prediction

Hunger is not yet overcome, so let's send a spacecraft to Venus! Yay!

"Controlled thermonuclear reaction" wow, we don't have this YET?

OT: NK is a threat, and will be until mr. il is gone, and then still kind of a threat. posturing anyone?

Just because world hunger isn't solved doesn't mean we can't send out spacecraft. It would be better to try to do both at the same time. Exploring space is more important than most people think...

No we haven't been able to keep up a sustained fusion reaction. We are getting close though. I'm pretty sure we will get there in the next few years.

Well, sure we can't do fusion yet, but fission has been around for years.

Agreed on the exploring space but it's one of those things that more than a few countries disagree on - how best to do it. I'm a little annoyed that we haven't even gone to Mars yet - manned, that is. It's been a little while since the moon.

I assumed it was talking about fusion since we've been able to do fission for a while.

I'm pretty sure the first country to get a manned mission to Mars will be the world's most powerful country. Hopefully, people realize that and try to make the goal a reality. It's exploration into the unknown that has advanced our knowledge and technology. Without the missions to the moon we wouldn't have some great tech. We can only assume trying to get to Mars will bring similar benefits. If only people would realize that.
