if having botted a character on a different account and server to lvl 16 or so makes me a botter, then go ahead and ban me. but i dont think thatll happen.

No he is not an idiot. Although he may be wrong, he may have misunderstood some facts which he is still holding on the grounds for some reason.

At least now, i know that some legit people are actually downloading bots. Either they use it for evil intension or good purpose, i totally have no idea

Older bots are the easiest to spot without trying them out for yourself. But the latest ones can be so advanced that it's incredibly difficult to spot them unless you know the signs. And knowing the signs comes in two ways: trying it for yourself, or studying them for weeks. By far the quicker of the two is testing the programs for yourself, because then you get to see all the options and all the behavours at once.

As a reputable "anti-bot activist", I considered it my duty. Plus it was cool to see what all the fuss was about for myself, as someone sworn never to cheat in an online game. While I am absolutely against the use of these programs, I was amazed by the level of skilled programming that went into the making of it. I could admire how clever the bot program was, even if using it to 'play' the game would never appeal to me.

Maybe cause I am not on his server or I am not as trusting as you guys are; I think all bot hunters have made a thorough study of how the bot works BUT: I have not yet met a bot hunter that goes on the bot sites and warns the botters to change their passwords because the bot they may be using might have a two way communication leak. I read that whole SS and it sounds awful suportive. Twiggy03 and ExDos of _oWn_ made that same argument. "I didnt bot my main, I bot a second char, so I am still 100% legit" Ummm how does that fly with anyone?

I find it amusing people don't understand why a legit player would do something illegal, just to understand how it works.

Personally, I find Chaud a dick. He doesn't respect the fact that there are other builds out there, but....I give him props for understanding the builds he does know and for the useful info he does give them.

Have I done something illegal to see, yeah. Do I regret? No, made me appreciate my Ragnarok char more and I love her to pieces cause of it. Thanks to seeing the potential of my girl in action, I can't wait for her to be a high lvl.

He botted to lvl 17 woohoo? I myself dont understand why he told them to change their pws, but I am sure there is a good reason. After that lvl 17 char I know chaud has never touched a bot after.

You could read that like ones of Chaud's "ha ha" sarcastic, or mockery type of statements.

Theres some things you just don't admit. Doesn't matter how noble people think they are for admitting it either.

Just like Bush admitting he tried pot. No one really cares about weed but they care about Bush trying it. As if those people didn't try it too. It just looks horrible against him. He should have never said it. Maybe you tried anal and didn't like it. Doesn't mean you should come here and post about it.

I would fully agree to Joymax downloading it and using it to combat the code itself, or study it. But they are in that position of power to do so, and they are in charge of Joymax policy enforcement.

What are the players going to do about it? So you can spot a bot.

You can kill a bot. Who doesn't care.
You can report a bot. Who they won't ban.
You can complain and post about the bot, and they don't stop.

You could do something shady like recompile the bot and strip peoples accounts, but that makes you a POS too, and no better.

You tried the bot.

Bad to pop 1* but OK to try bot.

Chaud is one of the members here I trust the most because he speaks his mind and sticks to what he says. If someone has a problem with him in the open, he doesn't dodge the accusations, he talks back and makes the other person look stupid (though he never does it nicely).

Bakemaster gets my respect too because he somehow manages to stay clam throughout every thread he posts in. Plus he knows what he's talking about.
