I highly doubt its dropped by almost every DJ. strobe is really the only thing of his i can listen to.
the problem is, all of his shit sounds way too similar.
and i think its funny what prerequisites you are setting for someone to be a fan of something.

Been to a rave? I have. Multiple. Pretty much any DJ who isn't already top 10-20 will drop Ghosts n Stuff.
Strobe is fcking legendary, simple as that.

and what defines their rank?
just because they are popular it doesn't mean they are good

It sort of does. Which, as much as I hate it, is why David Guetta is up as high as he is. Armin is the god of all modern trance, there's no denying that.

Deadsolid wrote:.curve wrote:Which, as much as I hate it, is why David Guetta is up as high as he is.I have to admit, there are DJ's below him that are far better, namely A&B.

For her target crowd, yes. Just like Twilight is "good" for it's target crowd. Like anything you hear on the radio is "good" for it's target crowd. There's a reason these things are so widespread.
If something doesn't get subscribers, followers, listeners, fans, then it's either not targeting the right crowd or it's not good.
Trance/Electronic music has such a huge following I believe, and within that following, Armin van Buuren is the top producer of Trance/electronic music.
You're arguing such mundane details now. I don't agree with the Top 100 list. Actually...I just don't agree with David Guetta, but the majority of people listening to this type of music do.

so you are admitting that deadmau5 isn't the best?

.curve wrote:I'd suggest all you Trance fans pick up Trance Around the World with Above and Beyond #328
It's a live recording of their set from Electric Daisy Carnival LA and it is fcking powerful.
I'd replayed it like 18 times just trying to imagine myself there, hearing it live.
