Ice Cube is a legend, since NWA his lyrics have always been on point and raw. Doesn't matter the speed, he could rap fast or slow, it the lyrics and technicality of his raps.

Nah, if they go mainstream they can still be good. Em's gone main, and still has some decent music; it's still better than other mainstream artists. Most don't like mainstream 'cuz it's just a rehash of the same shit.
If they had songs like this, might be appreciated a bit more:

This is the first eminem song I heard and this was when pop was the shit and the hooks were playing from every radio station. Then I heard this song from a friend and it was just one gigantic verse with a ridiculous couplet at the end, which obviously stood out from the pop/rock that had the tried and true verse-hook-verse-hook-verse-hook. Still think it's one of his best songs, first impressions and all.
