In the times I played Runescape, there was someone in the clan called Wouter too, and on TS/Vent they called him Wonter, Walter, Wolter, WAW-ter, WOW-ter, ... In the end almost everyone started to say Wouter properly, people just need to learn how to pronounce it. That's what I think of it.

Wouter (and pronounce it in DUTCH wherever you are, as this is how it's supposed to be done).
