Bye bye Argentina, quedense con las ganas

I agree.
The perfect Spain comes always when they are ahead. When they are ahead, they pass perfectly, defend awesome, and even have the best surprising attacks.
It took 86 minutes for them to get ahead in this match, which is why they weren't at their best.

Well no country has exactly lit up the world cup
Dutch have been underwhelming based on how they played in 2008 euro (they beat brazil but i mean the other matches)
Uruguay have been good by their standards but their route was kinda easy (South korea, then ghana)
Argentina exceeded expectations but thats only cause everyone expected them to be shit cuz of maradona.
All the african team were unbelievably crap, except ghana, who fcked up in the end anyways.
England, italy and france are all jokes
then theres germany, 3 games in which they scored 4 goals. they have the hardest route to the final too and if they beat spain fifa should just hand over the WC to them lol
+their teams mostly 20 year olds. and ballack is injured too
but they wont beat spain

Sorry but you are both wrong. The guy who scored ISNT offside, but the guy who IS offside jumps and tries to hit the ball with his head. That's enough reason to call it offside (lineman calls offside the guy who jumped and tried to head the ball, not valdez). If he (cardozo) didnt do shit and stayed still and the ball goes to Valdez and he scores, then that would be a legit goal. But Cardozo DID jump and DID participate in the play. Good call by the referee.

I think you're the one who is dead wrong here. The guy who jumps to try and head the ball is indeed in an offside position but he didn't touch the ball at all..It missed him completely hence there shouldn't have been any flag for an offside.
I can see however why the lines man might rush to raise his flag thinking that the player in the offside position might have touched it. You can be in an offside position and the ball being played to you as long as you don't touch it its fair play. I've seen games where a player is clearly in an offside position and have the ball played towards them and they just wisely ignore it and there was no call.
Code: Select all
Offside offence
A player in an offside position at the moment the ball is touched or played by a team-mate is only committing an offside offence if, in the opinion of the referee, he becomes actively involved in play by:
Interfering with play
Interfering with an opponent
Gaining an advantage by being in an offside position

I think Spain will have some serious difficulties playing against Germany.
But what the heck, we already have one European group in the finals!!!
