50:50 Hybrid Bow User?

My character when I started out SRO for the first time was a 50:50 hybrid spear user, of course it didn't turn out great. By the time I hit 20, I already quit that character.




But now, with the recent updates, I was thinking whether this 50:50 hybrid build is worth it.




As a 50:50, I would have equal amount of INT and STR, correct? So that means I would be wearing the Protector Armor (Since it also gives me equal amount of phy and mag defence).

The reason why I used bow for this build is to allow ranged attacks, hence increasing my chance of survival against melee mobs.




Currently, I have a few builds to choose from (level cap is 100, right?):

1) 100 PACHEON / 100 FIRE / 50 LIGHTNING / 50 ICE
2) 100 PACHEON / 100 FIRE / 70 LIGHTNING / 30 ICE
3) 100 PACHEON / 100 ICE / 70 LIGHTNING / 30 FIRE
4) 100 PACHEON / 100 FIRE / 50 HEKUSAL / 50 ICE


FIRST BUILD:

Pacheon is a must since it'll cover the "str" part of my build. As I'm a 50:50 hybrid, I should be getting the best imbue in the game, right? So hence the 100 Fire. Also because of that, I did 50 Lightning and Ice because it'll give me equal amount of mag att and phy def. Sounds reasonable, right?



SECOND BUILD:

Pacheon and fire remains untouched, but Lightning is more focused on than Ice on this build. Thus, it gives me more mag att than phy def. Due to that, I'll have another option to wear ARMOR instead of PROTECTOR due to the loss of additional phy def from Ice.





THIRD BUILD:

Ice becomes my main element focus now. Why? Ice has status effects such as frostbite and freeze which proves really useful against mobs. As a result, my PvP skills suffers a great deal.

Another point to notice, why don't I equalize the points between Lightning and Fire? Lightning has better benefits than Fire. Honestly saying, Fire only had the 3rd and 4th series which is really useful for grinding. Lightning, on the other hand, has more buffs, ESPECIALLY the wind walk series. It can greatly reduce travel time from one mob to another.





FOURTH BUILD:

This build's gonna fail anyway. But I'm still open to opinions!

Pach and Fire are my main focus, as always. The last 100 skill levels, however, is split between HEKUSAL and Ice. Hekusal has the mastery which increases the maximum HP. Combined with Ice's phy def bonus buffs, this build acts like a Tank build.















I'm open to professional criticism, needless to say that I don't like people who comes in here, calls me stupid WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING at what I posted, and then leave. Any other suggestions regarding builds, I'm more than willing to take into consideration.

Uhm.. So you would be lvl 110 with lvl 100 skills? NO, it's 330

LOL I didn't say that. I was wondering whether the cap was still 300 so that I could modify my build to like 110 Pach / 110 Fire / 40 Light / 40 Ice. Who told you that I'm going to be a level 110 with lvl 100 skills? LOL.

First, re-think your builds in light of the skill mastery level being raised to 330.

Second, I don't like 50:50 builds. You'll fail with magical and physical attacks. You won't do good damage or be able to tank much.

Well, at least you're like an all rounder in the game. Not saying that you'll be able to tank like a Pure STR AND inflict massive damage with Pure INT, but you'll be average in everything.


& I forgot to add on about the cap. I'm currently playing in a server that has a 100 cap. Sorry if I caused any misunderstandings because I didn't mention about this.

for hybrid bow i wouldnt go 50:50, id go for the supposedly "perfect" 70:70 ratio

By the way, your "50:50" sounds a bit more like 1:1 hybrid. Calling it 50:50 makes me think of 50 phy/magic balance which is pretty horrible. If you search the forums extensively, I'm sure you'll find some testimonials of 1:1 hybrids. I think most people opt for 70/70 hybrids or (insert number here):1 STR hybrids for bow.
