Sci-fiction weapon -> real
A run down of seven futuristic weapons that have passed squarely in to the realms of reality.

Re: Sci-fiction weapon -> real
I forgot what it was called, but there were these cameras in Metal Gear Solid 2 that had a circular casing and a properller in that case on, top was a camera and gun attached to it. I've seen it in real life somewhere but I forgot what it is.

Im glad the game "Ghost recon: Future soldier" is based off all schematics from militaries. so all of the stuff in there is real.

Re: Sci-fiction weapon -> real
None of the ideas are that science fiction though.
Number 7, the Airborne Laser, is actually tested here where I live. Currently it's pending funding in order to keep the research going. From what I understand, it was a "science project" that was taken a bit further, but has recently been looked at to be scrapped.
It's designed to superheat the missile's rocket system during launch in order to drop the warhead back onto the enemy. It's flown around here a few times. Looks like a regular 747 with a funny looking nose.
Number 5 seems like some ingenuity came into play here. Technology catching up in a time when we need to do all we can in order to prevent casualties in war times.
Number 4 I remember seeing a video about. They were testing a smaller version of it and it actually seemed pretty self aware of it's environment. Definitely interested in where that one leads.
Number 3. kek. I want one for....personal use.
Number 2 I hope they keep it remote controlled. Seems like if it's self thinking, we could have a robot army uprising on our hands.
Number 1 seems practical. A more sophisticated version of situation control.

The Shotgun Tazer is real.
I've seen it tested in person.
I was left with "WANT"

Meh, was referring to Master Chief suit. Also...I haven't seen a viable jet pack or a ray gun.
