VOIP

Post by Jstar1 »

Ok guys, I recently installed project reality, a realism mod for battlefied 2. The game works great but I've yet to try it out more because I'm trying to get my VOIP to work.

I'm a complete noob when it comes to this, never done it before and completely clueless. How do you set up a VOIP? What is the difference between VOIP, teamspeak, and ventrilo and does it matter which one I install? I got a headset and I can hear everyone talk ingame but they can't hear me.

thanks guys

Ventrilo and Teamspeak are a type of VOIP. VOIP just means any program with which you speak to people over the computer. However, you just said that you can hear everyone. This leads me to believe that the game you're playing has some form of in-game VOIP. This means that you do not need to install Vent or TS, as the game already provides those services. If that is the case, just look around in the options, as they will usually have some tab for microphones.
