There are a billion bands similar to Isis: Pelican, The Ocean, Cult of Luna etc etc but they are more sludge based than they are alt-metal but alt-metal sucks by default so whatever As for prog rock, King Crimson should be your start. They very much influenced your Gaynard Keenan to become such a pretentious doofus

and everything related to maynard
i'm tryin to find something at tool level,i discovered isis band some days ago and they're pretty good,but tool are still 1 step ahead

Muse and Radiohead? Idk, this isn't really my alley because I find Tool so hard to compare with anything else.

Yeah, I dont think I know any other band that remotely sounds similar. Except for A Perfect Circle that is.
After all, Maynard is a lyrical genius.

i dnt much about genres or w.e so bloc party?- ion square,like eating glass, pioneers radiohead: karma police, no surprise silversun pickups? checkered floor, future foe scenarios, panic switch not sure if these fit under the categorizes you asked for

Muse and radiohead are just like Tool great bands, but totally not equal to each other
You might want to try out Neurosis. They were a big influence for Tool.

Umm not really. They however had big influence on Isis and most newer sludge bands
