Practically all rasism comes from misunderstandings, bias and storys they hear from others. (Mostly made up or again misunderstood)
for example, many people try to unlock the Quran with a online translator or dictionary. Translators are great! but they don't work for Arabic. Dictionarys are similar to translators when it comes to Arabic. Arabic is a unique language, there are so many word meanings of 1 word that it is a matter of sentence(on how you use the word in the sentence). if you chance a single character of a word, the word gets the opposite meaning of what it was. I hope you get my point.

Qur'an doesn't say anything about pictures of Muhammad, just you can't worship anyone but the true God. Some Muslim dynasty decided that it meant no pictures of Muhammad cause that'll be worshiped instead of God. So... no one can draw Muhammad.
