So, Birthday Gift Time.

Post by Key-J »

Hey SRF,

Long time no see. Hope all is well.

Anyway, i turn to you guys for guidance once more. Since my B-Day is coming up sorta soon i know my Rents are going to get me a new camera for it since ive asked them for one for a while.

Now, i just need to figure out which one i want. n was hoping you guys could help me out a little with it.

I'm looking for a Descent Camera, possibly even an SLR, but not one that is going to break the bank. So i need it to be under $1000 preferably well under.

I've heard of Hybrid SLRs, that aren't as robust and crazy as pure SLRs, but still are above Pure Digital Cameras.

Sony Cybershot HX5V is apparently one of them:

and ive been told this is a great camera, but im still open to Suggestions, and would love any.

All the best,
Key-J

Congrats! :)
Anyways, that's a nice Camera!
Well, i have 1 suggestion for you.
Canon PowerShot SX20 IS

That is what i was going to get but now i've decided to get this
Nikon D5000.
I fell in love with this SLR.

Pretty decent price for a decent camera for beginner photographer, cause the range are not above 1000$.

Edit: Also check at my last post on this thread. lol
