Hello. This is Silkroad Online.

In order to assist in the resolution of the issue that is affecting some of our users in regards to connection, we would like those of you with issues to post your IP address and DNS server information to the Bug Report subsection under the Customer Service tab. DO NOT POST THIS INFORMATION TO THE General Technical Issues/Bug Reports Forum! Doing so could compromise the security of your system.

The method to get this information is listed below:

1. Go to the Start button.

2. Select the Run menu selection.

3. You will get a text entry box. Type in 'cmd'.

4. One you are in the windows that opens, please type: 'ipconfig /all'

5. Either post the information that comes after the 'IP Address' and 'DNS Servers' section OR take a screenshot have it hosted on an image hosting site and post the link to it to our Bug Report section.

Again DO NOT POST THIS INFORMATION TO THE General Technical Issues/Bug Reports Forum!

if u can't play the game i don't think you can go to their site eather. But you can always save your info on a text file and email it to ur self and then ur somewhere else you can go to silkroadonline.net and go to the bug link and send it to them.

if you cant get on the web site look at some of the posts theris a post somewhere you can hide your ip or somethin do that and then you can go on the site

Go to the site by visiting "http://www.hidemyass.com/"
Than type the site and do what you want (Take's a bit of time to load.)

you have to log into the webcite to see it.....

oh btw i cant do it either , i used hidemyass.com prob is that you can not log in to webcite using that proxy....so go to your school, friends house, wifi spot, library to use the internet... thats what i did......

Use 'HideMyAss' Trought IE.. It will work than.
Or you can look on google for a safe proxy server.

Use a proxy.

What I don't like about this whole situation is that people are crying this won't work or that won't work, or it is this company's fault or the others...
Instead of doing that, I would be using google and my brain to make a proxy work, especially when guides were even provided. The instructions are there, if you cannot do it, then don't complain, it is no ones fault but yours when you cant run a proxy, fill out the bug report, and then play sro through the proxy until something is done.

I posted my info in the bug report. I had to go through the proxy stuff to do it. This was Saturday. Not expecting to be able to connect for at least a few days.

I included the output from the DNS link, my IP info and DXDIAG info to boot.

Everytime I fill out the registration form it says that there can only be 5 accounts from this IP address and to report any bugs in the bug section under customer support. Welp, I can't report a bug because I can't even create an acct. which means I also can't post my IP address, DNS servers and tracer route on that report . And I don't even have 1 acct coming from this IP address never mind 5. I tried downloading the manual patch and it wouldnt install, it said that there wasnt a patch that can patch it! omg!!

I'd really like to play the game but I can't. I cannot contact the support people so it looks like I'm out of luck. I'm guessing there's alot of potential clients they could be losing out on due to this problem. I'd rather not post my email address on here but if the tech support gives me a way to contact them that would be great.

And by the way... Hidemyass.com didn't work! It's still doing the same thing, nor did turning off virus protection.

And further more I've just been to a friend's house to try registering there and the same thing occurred!!

this is a very, very, very usefull thing to do because they'll see a bunch of IP addresses starting with like 205 for example and they'll say "oops, we thought all 205's were vietnamese, better unblock 205.124 on down" and tada, it's fixed for thousands of users in your area. Unfortunately, most ppl are running into DNS problems with Time Warner's DNS servers rejecting the crappy Korean IP's of the servers because people fail to connect so often and they can't do a whole lot about it.
As for how to post it, proxies are the best and http://www.proxy4free.com/page1.html is a good, safe site for free proxies. Just pick one near you. Othewise just google search "free proxies"
