well over here (in Canada) i have many freinds who work at McDonalds and they all hate it, you get late hours or graveyard shifts and you work 5 days a week atleast. but who says your first job had to be glamorous
A friend of mine works at a callcenter, I wanna try to get a job there this summer. Last year I was a bartender which was pretty fun, but don't be fooled it's a pretty intense job.
I wouldn't want to work at McDonalds, I don't like the crowd.
Lol @ people bashing mcdees >_> In the summer I work 40 hours a week (by choice). During the school year I work one day a week (sunday morning, so I can pay my bills.) I make $9.50, minimum wage for under 18 but I'll be making 10.50 in a few months.
mcdees gives me whatever hours I want at minimum wage. Can't complain.
Made 3 grand in 8 weeks, not bad for an easy summer job that requires an IQ of a little over 34.

first I was like %9.50 minimum wage WTF, then i remembered you are from canada
IMO the best places to work (for pocket money) are places like staples and cvs . unfortunately you have to be 18 to be able to work their

a bike. Do people just own bikes so they can ride for fun? or do they use them as transportation?(school, work, stores etc.) if so isn't it a little unsafe to park them at the parking lot?

just to get from point A to point B
i'm 18 but coz of my shity country i don't think i ll get that 9,5$ per hour ... i'll be very happy if i ll get 1000$ in this summer . i plan working 40 hours per week .
Worked 2 years in administration of hospital in my town and now going to do administration in an insurance office, which will earn me around 1300€ (20 days, 8.30 - 12.30; 13.30 - 17.00). Pretty well earned Of course it helps when you do studies within accountancy or marketing
meh i applied at 3 places i got 3 job offers, and one guy came and asked me to work for him, so im working outside my house in the construction yard at 10$ and hour, and ill be starting weekends from 8am to 4pm at 14$ an hour saturday sunday..
In my opinion it's a waste to put 3.4k € in such a moped. I mean come on, it looks almost like a real sport bike, but is equipped with a tiny chainsaw-size engine. Even if you've no lincense to drive anything better than 50cc, I'd recommend buying an used bike instead; the first few years cut the price nicely.
try to find a road company. You know the ones who pave and make roads and such, they are always super busy in the summer pay well and get lots of overtime.

yep . that's my second option . so my options are : 1.mc donalds 2.at a construction company ( i know a neightboor who haves a construction company but it's out of town . so i ll have to travel a bit to get to work every day . but the good part is the bigger salary than mcdonalds and that he won't put me to such hard work ) 3.at a betting agency

Betting agency? Casino? If you're a girl, you could make a lot as a server there.
If you're smart, try looking for lab assistance.
