Do you even know what quickscoping is? Are you not confusing it with no-scoping? Nothing more than luck?

This,No-Scoping is the one that is luck. Quick scoping requires practice and skills 8)

And I even found out there are ways to master no-scoping in order not to miss, so yeah :)

I can't do it, but some bad-ass hardcore snipers manage to

Grins*

My luck must have been getting better and better :P

Maybe we're confusing quik-scoping with that swiffer (or so) technique posted earlier :P?

in my book, quik scoping is seeing an enemy, getting him centerd in your crosshair's fast, scoping in on him, so you only have to see him through the scope for one tenth of a second before you pull the trigger.

So it's just....regular sniping?

I don't know what you guys normally do, but I don't zoom in until he's centered on my screen. Then zoom, kill, unzoom.

I suppose so. I didn't know there was a special name for sniping.

Yeah, its just normal sniping, just fast- and usualy while your walking/running around.

It's because of all the noob snipers that lay down in 1 place and scout the area waiting for a shot i guess.
They then say its 'sniping, not camping'.

That's basically the job of a sniper to cover a certain area...Running around with a sniper quick/no scoping people is not the job of a sniper, but hey..who needs teamwork in this game.

I know it is, but this is a game, and modern warfare 2 is pretty rambo style.
Thats why you run around with a hugee sniper fire it from your waist or shoulder like its nothing.

Besides, MW2 has killcams, so if you keep sniping in 1 place you'll die in no time anyhow.

I'm not saying you gotta lay still on one spot all the time, but running into a house with the idea of quick/no scoping people is not what a sniper should do, even in MW2. Or even outside, the point of a sniper is you can hit them without them being able to hit you cuz you're so far away, although that's hard without any recoil on the AR's but meh >.< I don't care shitty game =D Halo Reach all the way.

Quickscoping is basically running around with SoH pro killing people with the sniper in close range, basically using it as a shotgun just with a big-ass scope and no spread...

So yeah it does take skill

With quick scoping, half the people don't even zoom in before they shoot, like you can see the grey part of the scope just as they're zooming in, but they don't atually look through. Quickscoping takes skill, sometimes you get lucky, but the rest is all skill.

Try a private match on your own.
Get intervention, aim at 1 place, shoot when you can actualy see the image through the scope for 0,1 seconds.
Then try the same when you dont see an image yet.

Accuracy is WAY better when you look through the scope :)

You'd be surprised, its pretty close. And what I mean is that you're practically looking through the scope but you aren't. Like, you start to zoom in, and before you finish zooming, you shoot. Still accurate, and he pros do it lols.

Well, if you shoot before the moment you see the scope's croshairs, your aim would be off =]

If the map were as big as BFBC2 I'd understand camping/scouting with the sniper class, but with the exception of Wasteland, the game is designed enough that quick scoping is just more effective and fun.

Wastelands/Afghan/Derail/Estate/Bailout/Quarry...When you get on like Skidrow or Salvage I'd just take a AR or sub with shotgun second. There are enough maps where you can stay back with a sniper, or flank them so you take them from the side (with enough range).

I was also thinking of trying scrambler, so they shit emselves and run and hide in a corner then BOOM I come out and headshot em, but meh, I'l try it ;)

Stopping power on shotguns is amazing. Lets see if you can paint this in your head.
I had Spas12 out, there was a guy standing on the roof in rundown by the far right bridge if you spawn near C in domination. I was running towards C and I fire at him hoping to hit him, but he flew off the roof dead... and I was at the other Side of the bridge lol. I haven't tried stopping power with aa12, but if you watch your shots and don't hold the trigger, then it'll be very effective.

@quicksoping bit. I played a quickscope match recently and I think I'm going to try to get into it =] I personally like Ninja pro when quickscoping cause then I get some tea bag headshots for them to watch in their kill cams. Was playing a quickscope match in rust with some friends, and random ppl kept joining in with snipers other than intervention and even a scar once.. and laying c4 everywhere. . .I hate the fact the friends can join session into a private match without an invitation. we had a specific class that everyone used and we even went perkless which made timing a little different, but made it fair for those that don't have soh pro

Did I do something to piss you off ? I just like shooting a couple of times with the aa, because it doesn't always one hit .. Also, I can get them from a further distance if I shoot like 4 times, rather than once.

"lets see if you can paint this in your head" is just a (poor) way of saying: "try to visualize this", I don't think it was meant offensive

Omg lol, no. I apologize if I made that sound rude. I meant paint it in your head as in get a mental image cause it was hilarious. Seriously, if you can imagine a Shotgun blast from a very far distance and watching their corpse curl in mid air as it falls off the building, it's a pretty funny sight and you can assume they prolly raged. I have no problem with you and I actually think your a decent person :D

And omg I didn't realize the Team tactical would finally allow Domination and Demolition in Rust online. Now we Ps3 users don't have to do Private matches for that :)

I have done that lol, it's pretty fun. I used CB as well. Sticking up claymores around the corners while sitting and just waiting for those killstreaks. It REALLY helps out your team sometimes more than running around and killing people.

Haha yeah my "Anti-Killstreak Reward" class is this:

ACR with RDS (Just started using the gun; so it's either that or the nub tub)
Stinger :sohappy:
Scavenger Pro
Cold Blooded Pro
Steady Aim Pro
