Let me answer your question with a couple of my own. What did (non christian) people think of christianity during the time of the inquisition? What do people think now of catholocism with the excess of pedophelia? Society tends to take things at face value. Islam doesn’t need to change its beliefs, but if they don’t want to be viewed as society tends to view them, there has to be a house cleaning from the inside first. Cause guess what, when we try to stand against them, we tend to receive more opposition than genuine cooperation.

Nothing against Islam, but you don't have to be Islamic to know that in order to make a viable judgment, you should read and learn about what you are judging. That's common knowledge.
