Up leaning towards Facism and limited freedoms, down leaning towards Anarchy and "unlimited" freedoms.
Left & Right is economic
Left leaning towards "socialism" and more State participation in the economy. Right leaning towards more Economic freedom for individuals. Here the use the correct term for right "Neo-Liberalism" or "Classical Liberalism." The Term conservative just means one wishes to maintain the political/social/economic status quo which is why Europe and the US have vastly different expectations of "Conservatives."
