You see silo. This post would not have existed without my post. But it was not forced, it was caused.
edit: i forgot too.
Uhm, no, because some atoms see that you made a post, so it fight with other atoms to decide if someone's gonna answer to your post or not. Since the trajectory of an atom can be calculated in advance, if some atoms are supposed to fly this way, then they will fly this way, no matter what. Since every event is decided in advance, you don't choose, you are forced

UnbeatableDevil wrote:fate for me means if you are fat, you will be fat forever, or if you are stupid, you'll be stupid forever. i dont believe that, I think if you work hard enough, you can change anything. there is no pre-determined path, its the choices you make (like twilliger said)
It doesn't need to be like it from the beginning. Fate can be that u are fat and then fate makes u a choice and u start to work out and get slim. That is, if fate exists. And there is no way to prove if faith excists or not. There are some things that we don't need to know.

Can we ban the troll? He's repeated this same post about 10 times in two different threads...
The key idea here is that determinism doesn’t imply that a person’s actions are fixed by themselves but are fixed with respect to the state of the entire universe; there is still cause and effect in a deterministic universe.

whats the book you were reading again that had info on determinism?
Whether actions are fixed by themselves or are fixed with respect to the state of the entire universe, events are predetermined within the universe, thus the idea of fate. You can't change it, you can't control it.

Nothing at the moment. I mentioned Quantum Enigma in another thread, but it only lightly touches on it from what I can tell (halfway done, haven't had the time to read it lately). Everything else I've just learned from reading other forums and articles online. I do want to find a book to read strictly on determinism, just haven't looked into it yet.
