I played around all day yesterday with using Wordpress as a CMS, not just a blog. I decided to try making a website using it. For that reason I had to keep it rather simple as I don't have much practice with it.

In case anyone is wondering what the test looked like, it is in the spoiler below. It was the first Wordpress template that I hand coded... simple but at least now I am familiar with it.

Below is the first page, my actual blog portion. After that and my portfolio are done, I will add about and home pages using Wordpress as a CMS, and not in blog format.

My first impression reminded me of a booger (just watched the goonies) lol. Overall layout is nice and clean in my eyes. Have you tried using an electric blue color to replace the lime green, like the one in Crim's avatar?

colors in the first are stronger and easier on the eyes... second one is good but the lime green is to vibrant to stare at for any long period of time.. maybe try washing it out
