Hai gais.
So here is the story. I bought a laptop in September. The shop where I bought it installed vista on it. I didn't realise that it was only a 32bit version because I didn't need my laptop for cool stuff. Yesterday I reinstalled my 3 years old computer and it turned out vista gave better stat on that than on my laptop. So I went back, checked and realised that it's only a 32 bit vista on it.
So how much would my laptop speed change by installing a 64 bit version OS? Actually everything uses 64 bit and I've got 4 GB ram. (currently uses 3,5 gb due to the 32bit OS)
Here are the details of my laptop:
Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T6600 (2M Cache, 2.20 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) - Instruction Set 64-bit
NVIDIA® GeForce® G102M @512MB - Memory Interface Width 64-bit
I feel like it is working on it's half speed.
How much would it change...?

I don't think it'll change incredibly much, but you should probably change it anyway, otherwise you'll turn out to have paid for more than you got. It's just a gut feeling that would keep bothering you.

Well both my CPU and video card is working as a 32bit one. If you format your winchester in FAT32 then it would only use 32 Gb, doesn't matter whether you have a 500Gb or 1TB one. I guess it should be something like that, even if my cpu and video card is good enough I can't use it at it's maximum 'speed'. Well I don't know how much but i don't think it will be just a slightly change.

To be honest, go for it, cause these days there is almost no problems with 64 compatibility issues, and if you squeeze out .5g of ram from using 64, as well as potential speed gains with your cpu/gpu, then do it.
Go to windows 7 64 bit whilst you are it as well.
