Hybrid help needed (Glavie STR:INT 2:1 )

Post by ichijiro »

I made a character for glavies and was planning to go Heuksal/Lightning, put all my points in str and int 2:1 so far. Already am at lvl10 and farmed my SP close to 500, now and I am wondering a bit whether I did the wrong thing by choosing this kind of a build? Any links to posts/sites that have info on the Heuksal mastery builds?

If I continue down this road all the way, will my character be a good hybrid type? Dishing out the most damage like a nuker is not necessarily the way I want to go, but I would like to know if this kind a character could effectively solo and be a breed between a tank and a nuker.

Thank you in beforehand already.

mm you might run into a bit of a problem. not with your build (its a fine build), but what you want to do with it.

A tanker and a nuker have very different qualities that clash with one another.

Tankers are for close range combat, they generally have alot of hp so that they can withstand many attacks (ice or fire is prefered.. ice for the better defense, or fire for the higher physical dmg).

Nukers generally are for ranged combat. You nuke the person and hope they die. If they don't, you can go in for the kill. (lightning mastery is a must because of the magical buffs)

The only thing that I can think of being a nuker\tank COULD be a full STR or 2:1 str:int bow user. Because of all the HP it has.

i wish you luck, and no need to re-roll. You're so early in the stage of the game that you can go one way or the other easily.

Thanks for the tip!

Still wondering about few things though.. I want to be close ranged with the Glaive, so I should keep putting my points into STR, right? Also.. When I use the skills from the Heuksal Mastery, will they do damage based on physical damage or magical damage?

And I realised I phrased myself wrong.. I didn't exactly mean nuker or tanker in that sense, more just whether this kind of a character could be sturdy enough to withstand punishment enough and dish out damage fast enough to solo on the higher levels too. I don't mind being torn to bits by a huge mob, since money is just money and potions can be used by the loads. (I have an odd habit of always having loads of cash even if I spend it a lot on superb equipment and potions like crazy)

So basically.. If I buy some effective SoS Glavie and then use that to increase my damage output, would this be effective then also?

Thanks in advance already!
Cheers! :D
