Ok here it is
you use a new elixer and make an item +1 for example
next you use a normal elixer and it fails, do you lose the +1 from the new elixer?
Also if you used an advanced say a +1, and later want to use the "b" for +2 will it just over write the plus 1?

Re: ANOTHER QUESTION ABOUT NEW ELIXERS
I dunno what happens if you use a normal elixir after an advance and it fails. I'm not dumb enough to do that. My friend did on his 101 glaive but it worked and he got it +8.
If you already used an A elixir and get +1, you can't use a B. Only 1 elixir use on an item. It might reset if you fail though. Not really sure. You can test it on a low lvl item if you want.

Not only will it fail, but you will also rip a hole in the universe that calls forward dinosaurs to attack South Korea.

This can also happen if you divide by zero. Stay safe kids.

Re: ANOTHER QUESTION ABOUT NEW ELIXERS
If you use an advanced elixir on an item, its plus will stay on that item forever. It won't disapear, no matter how many normal elixirs you fail on that item after you used an advanced one. It will just reset to (+1) in case you used Class A, or to (+2) if you used a Class B elixir.
