Leveling as a Bard

i just have a quick question, would it be better to level with a 24 SoM harp over a regular 24 wizards staff? and also, why are bards so good? if im not mistaken dont they only have like 3 attack skills >.>?

som 24 harp? then yea might as well use bard to attack..atleast you will have more defense (from guard tambour) and never use mp pots because you can heal your own mp.

bards are not bad attackers mainly because of their fast nukes. They only have 3 attacks but after using them all 3 fast..the damage is nice ;D

I would classify bards as "balanced". The fast nukes are nice - I can ks wizards at ongs sometimes - but don't deal nearly as much damage. Swing/moving march is nice too.

24 som harp, nice. I'd use that over a staff yes.

+ bards are good for farming low chars at ongs its the perfect farming char when high

bards lvl really fast if you know how. what i do is go to an area with a high spawn rate but lower lvl monsters. this way i can 1-2 shot them every time and damage isnt much of a difference. with this i can kill multiple mobs fast instead of trying hard to kill one higher lvl mob. same can be done with a wiz. i would get the passive bard skills and use this tactic with wizard attacks.

Bard passives don't effect wizard attacks, if that's what you're suggesting. They only work when a harp is equipped.

Those aren't passives then

You're talking about skills such as swing march and noise? Which are the only two bard skills that work after switch I think.

well i dont know what else to call them. and yes.
