What do hunters get out of protecting traders?

Traders obviously get money from the silk, and thieves can steal said silk, but what do hunters get?

Hunters get hunter experience, for which they can get weekly rewards if they make the top10.
And they get about 200-300k per 5 star trade, depends on how big the trade is and how many traders there are.

You can request gold for hunting as well! (if you're good)

Hunters get gold weekly for protecting trades. You can take out the gold from the hunter NPC.

you get a percentage of gold from each item the trader sells. but you have to be in the party to get gold.

You get a weekly 'bonus' from the hunter guild and you get some money when your trader turns in his goods.
