I don't agree on all her points but video games do have benefits that translate into the real world. Most of us here have probably heard of economic studies on virtual economy to create real world models.
They do not even have to be directly related to actual gaming but just to the entire gaming culture in general. The PS3 introduced a large amount of people into the folding@home project. It doesn't require people to play a game but it sure raises an awareness, not to mention the results from the studies.
Some of the WoW gamers here might remember the Corrupted Blood incident where a DoT from a boss, literally plagued the players. The reaction of the community to this accident was studied as a model for epidemics.
There are other examples and the point is, video games have become so prevalent that they are not just mere video games anymore. Yes, I still play games for their primary goal, which is entertainment, but I can't ignore the extra emergent benefits that get tagged along.

Yum, the typical generic human life.
And about what she said,
You save the world in mmo's? What mmo do you save the world? Level up, kill monsters that respawn...repeat?

lawl Silo, women are not a race, their a gender in the human race...
What makes you think that stating that women's existence is based around the kitchen, (not serious) is being 'racist'.
