Hi,
The description of de Bard Tambour skills says that ''the effect disappears along with other music when attacked or attacking''. Does that mean that you can't have this skill up AND help your party doing damage?
Thanks!
Bard tambour disappears when attacking?
Re: Bard tambour disappears when attacking?
There is a passive skill called Prism that decreases the chances of it to go down on the first hits. Though, if you keep getting beaten you'll drop the buff eventually. Same goes for any dance, and the passive for them is called Screen Dance. If you are serious about playing as a bard you should invest in both these two skills.
At parties before you get Mana Orbit (below 90), there aren't much time for you to attack if you are the only bard int the party. If you are two bards, you can have one attacking and one doing Mana Cycle. Just make sure that the bard attacking is the one who has the dance skill up. Otherwise it will be a full time work keeping both dance and tambours up.
When you eventually get Mana Orbit it is time for both bards to attack. The key to success here is that the bards both get the Protect buff from a warrior. With this on you'll almost certain never have to worry about getting hit. The passives to prevent the tambours and dances to go down are also high enough to cover if you do.

Thank you for this detailled reply. I have a question left, though. Your reply focuses on getting hit, but I still don't understand if hitting something does stop the skill as well?
Yarr!
Re: Bard tambour disappears when attacking?
Attacking does not stop an tambours or dances. The only ways they can go down is if you stop them yourself or get hit.

This. It will only run out if you have taken a few hits with it on. The good thing is that even if a party member is getting attacked, it will never go down, even from him. (Pretty obvious I know lols) Dances will never go down though. Even if you go down to 1 health, the dance will never disappear.

True.Unless somebody else gets hit, and that's the bard that runs the tambour.--
