"The Pacific" a WWII Mini-series

so like after Band of Brothers, I believe that this is a continuation of the story line where the U.S. tries to take over Japanese Islands and take down the empire or something like that

This seems like a pretty good war series, and I thought Band of brothers was also well done too

looks fcking boss. Can't wait to see it. Hope people understand how much sacrifice America gave to win the pacific war. Oh and the 2 atom bombs were totally justified.

My money says they won't show the bombs, the series will end with them on a ship heading home or something.

For the Dutchies, first episode airs 3rd of April on Veronica! I'm certainly going to watch. Loving shows like these.

you can't blame Americans for making a war movie or drama that only portrays Americans. Everyone wants to show their side of the war.

I'm sure if britain made a WWII movie they would focus on something like the battle of britain or what they did during d-day. Same goes for france, they probably would have done that free french underground fighting type of story.

Personally, I didn't really notice that there wasn't a lot of history when I watched it but I still liked how they portrayed how the soldiers dealt with the war and there weren't too many lame inaccuracies (cough saving private ryan cough)

I liked it but it could have been alot better, I dont understand why they didnt do a feature legnth first episode as it would have allowed them to do alot more character introduction and development.... I cant even remember any of their names and it didnt go into much of their backstory..... the Band Of Brothers opener was far better as it gave you an introduction to the characters so that by the time they got into danger you were already attached to them I didnt get that feeling with this.
