France in fact had good equipment. In fact they had better and more tanks than Germany. They just failed to use them properly. They lost because of poor tactical decisions, horribly unorganized, and no strong leaders. Also france ignored the ardenns forest (or however you spell it) cause they thought germans couldn't go through it which is idiotic because you can just crash through a forest with mechanized vehicles.
You don't even have to know the details. Everything I just wrote could be implied when you learn that france got rolled in only 12 days.

The only good that they got was napoleon, joan of arc ( the proof that they cant do something for them selves only sit and wait for an hero to come and lead them to victory) and the bloody french revolution oh yeah their culture too... The rest is a pure history of fail, being raped since the roman empire who owned the gauls easily,then after constantly raped by the english (until joan of arc came) more after by the holy roman empire, then in WW1 almost got raped by the germans if it wasnt for england who came to help, and in WW2 got totally raped by MR.hitler and after saved by the americans
