my unconventional build and how i like it

well, my character is lvl 44 hybrid int (90% mag balance) with ICE and LIGHT only.

i have ICE nuke and i have LIGHT nuke...

basically all i am writing to say here is if you are going for PvE mostly with decent PvP skills, then this is the build for you!!

i regularly grind mobs 4-9 levels higher than me with no problems...

the ICE imbue freezes or slows my enemies to a greatly slower speed, and has saved my life on MANY occasions every day.

and the Ice Nuke even though not as powerful as fire, also gives the chance to freeze enemies, and does enough damage so that i can still 2 nuke = dead to orange mobs.

with the extra defense from ice passive, and ice skills, i have plenty of physical defense to take a few hits from a pure str (also considering i am a hybrid i have more hp than pure int.)

also wearing garments means if i cant take more than one hit from an enemy, i can get away from them. :-D

oh, and so far, not anyone i have come across is ice immune... although i am only lvl 44... im sure some people will be at the cap, but my theory is that people may be immune, but far less than what most people say will be.

so overall i would say this is a great build. :-P

Except he WAS pure int until i started saying "Joy! I can tank hits and still do massive dmg!!" then he went and got all 90% mag balance on me.

Yes i did think about of this build before and wondered why people go for fire when fire is not much of a use to int due to the fact that they can only take advantage of dmg and status error reduce. As for the rest like magic protection is not very good as int user is strong against magical attack.

However, the problem of this build is, you're weak to ice yourself. I am very sure no players (even hardcore ones) can't alchemy their accesorries to 100% immune to frosbite and freezing. As for dmg wise, they are not very high, but good enough to kill pure str fast enough No problem there

Yes ICE is OWNAGE, thats why i am sp farming at level 52 just to get it ^^, i have to say however, 4 masterys is a SP pain ><

Ice will pretty much own till 7th degree or more so its always useful and fun

yea, basically i was posting this to let people know that ice is not bad at all, and in fact it is IMO the BEST for pve. :-D

just sharing my thoughts with ya'll.

lol, the main reason i chose ice was becuase since i was little i always thought being able to freeze things would be awesome hehe. (maybe a little too much x-men haha.)

Two nuking orange mobs is not good at all. I nuke + GSed or nuke + shout or nuke + aoe dmg killed EVERYTHING before the cave....Fire ftw.
About half the people I pvp 64+ are ice immune, more and more every day. Ice is still useless.

Maxed book 2 fire nuke:
548~913
Maxed max dmg out of the 2 ice nukes:
269~403

PATHETIC damage. Terrible dmg. Less than half the dmg.

to try new things. But yea you are right 2 nuking orange mobs is bad,
It takes me what chaud said to kill an orange mob.

But yea, Joymax ruined the game by providing immunities.

Immunities are fun. Besides, freezing wasn't THAT powerful before.
Yeah, if ice did the same, or nearly the same dmg it wouldn't be a problem, there is a cookie cutter build because anything else pretty much blows.

doesnt it also depend on how much higher level the orange mob is...

some orange mobs take light nuke and heaven lion to kill, some take both nukes.

i think ice would be fun for a blader cuz u can freeze alot, its 5% to freeze and u hit so fast so ur prbalbility is high, i think it would be a fun messaround char or somthing, frreze everyting in sight, lol but i dop agree bout the weak ass ice nuke =p if u get ice get wither lightning, or fire with it (i would refer lightning cuz i cant live w out grass walk lol
