The Leopard 2A6 can resist 2000mm of HEAT attacks, it has doubled since the A4 version.
I'm sure this is more to frown upon the Leclerc.

Leopard2A6 120mm L55 Rheinmetall gun is superior the the French 120mm 120-26F1 L52 main gun.
Leopard can engage and destroy targets effectively at a range of 4 KM's and the Leclerc 3,5KM.
One big point against the LeClerc is barrelling down. It is incapable of barrelling down very far with the turret facing forward.

Both tanks are just as maneuverable, so no win-win here.
Leopard wins, I'd choose German engineering over French engineering any time of my life.
