Skinput gadget turns your own ARM into a touchscreen display
Those who find the touchscreens on their ever shrinking gadgets too fiddly to handle, will be glad to hear scientists are developing a new touch surface... your own arm. Developers at Microsoft Research and Carnegie Mellon University are working together to create an armband that projects an interface directly on to your skin. They have combined a mini projector which creates a changing display with a sophisticated sensor that can tell which part of your arm is being tapped.

Thinking about this, this technology has some merit seeing as its going to merge with the phone (in theory) you could keep an eye on peoples vital signs if they say have a heart attack it could automatically call 999 (911 for you yanks)

I don't like it. It may be an interesting technological breakthrough but by the time it comes out it'll be so useless and expensive at the same time, that people will be rolling with the latest, better, Apple/Microsoft product.

Object with a capability of transmit waves like a mobile phone is not good for health, in term of long time, if you put too close of your body
