Clean out your fan, I had the same problem. Client+some youtube stuff+msn made my laptop shutdown cuz it got too warm. When I removed all the dust around my fan it works perfectly again. I can run it 24/7 once again =p

Close your laptop, flip it over, I'm sure there is something you can take off after removing some screws etc ofcourse. Then just look for the fan outlet (you might have to take of the fan too) and clean it out.

Hehe no problem man, I had the same problem, my laptop would shut down when I tried to do too many things at once (several vids etc) so a friend recommended a program where you can see the temp of your core(s)/hdd and overall etc and they went up to 90 degrees sometimes so yeah. Opened it up and found ALOT of dust shutting my fan airflow, cleaned it up and it's running perfectly again ^^

Restart at least once a week, but I rarely completely shut it off. I always send it to sleep.

But it really adds up if everyone here does it. I'm just saying, don't use it if you don't need it. Just be environmentally responsible 8)

When I was on Linux, I would keep the game going for quite some time without rebooting the machine. I think, due to linuxy-issues, I'd disconnect every once in a while and for server updates I'd obviously have to reload the game, but the system itself would be up for 20+ days. I never played SRO long enough to say 6 months... :\
